SECTION 2.32.

"THE YEAR IS 2259.THE NAME OF THE PLACE IS BABYLON 5".

Sunday January 8th.

Before he accepts the command of Babylon 5, Captain Sheridan is asked by General Hague to secretly check the loyalties of the station command staff. While he doesn’t reveal why to Captain Sheridan, General Hague and other Joint Chiefs are suspicious about President Santiago’s death and suspect that President Clark and Psi Corps may be behind the assassination.

Captain Sheridan finds a note on his desk with the poem Ulysses written on it.

The Long Night reveals Sheridan found the poem Ulysses on his desk when he assumed governorship of Babylon 5.

Commander James, Captain Sheridan's Ex.O is promoted to Captain of the E.A.S. Agamemnon.

Conjecture. Sheridan's comments in The Face Of The Enemy suggest James served under him, probably as First Officer.

Captain Sheridan's transfer to Babylon 5 is reported on ISN. Captain Jack Maynard aboard the E.A.S. Cortez, repairing jump gates in the Euphrates Sector sees the broadcast.

When Londo meets Captain Sheridan, he has the sense that when he dies in 19 years time, Captain Sheridan will be there.

Monday January 9th. Captain Sheridan pushes the paper work through for Lieutenant Commander Ivanova's promotion.

The Geometry Of Shadows. Sheridan pushed the paperwork through the day after he arrived.

Studying the station reports, Captain Sheridan learns about Draal and the Great Machine.

From the heart of the Great Machine, Draal begins observing Captain Sheridan's actions.

Wednesday January 11th. The Drazi split into two factions after randomly drawing green and purple sashes from a barrel. When a sash carrying a jewelled emblem is drawn by each Drazi, they become leader of that faction. Their aim is to beat the opposition into submission so that one may become the dominant group for 5 years.

The Geometry Of Shadows. Ivanova's comments suggest the Drazi split 2 weeks ago.

The son of Centauri Emperor Turhan dies, weakening his already failing health.

Prior to The Geometry Of Shadows. Refa said the Emperor's son died recently.

An increase in EarthForce traffic to Babylon 5 requires the rerouting of commercial traffic. As a consequence, income from docking fees drop and station revenues fall.

A Race Through Dark Places. Ivanova notes the report from Earth Central shows revenues have been dropping for the past 2 months.

To stop the exploitation of the lurkers in down below, Captain Sheridan institutes work programs where they can earn money while helping to repair the station.

Conjecture, from The Illusion Of Truth. Assumes Sheridan introduced the work programs shortly after he came aboard.

Thursday January 12th. Having travelled to different worlds out on the Rim and discovering long dead places now being occupied by dark forces, G’Kar’s expedition arrives at Z’ha’dum and comes under attack from Shadow fighters.

Thursday January 12th-Thursday January 19th.

Saturday January 14th. Invited to Babylon 5 by her big brother, Elizabeth Sheridan brings a data crystal with her containing Anna Sheridan’s last letter. In it Anna tells her about taking the post on the Icarus and having to cancel their anniversary meeting at Centauri Prime. Elizabeth is unsure whether to show it to Captain Sheridan as it will open old wounds.

Revelations. 2 days prior to her arrival on the station.

Monday January 16th. Unable to reach any of Security Chief Garibaldi’s relatives, having done everything he can to bring him out of a coma, Dr Franklin is driven to consider using Laura Rosen’s alien healing device. He goes to find Captain Sheridan to talk to him about it.

Londo summons Morden to a meeting in the Zen garden, concerned that the attack on Quadrant 37 will be traced back to him.

G’Kar secretly returns to Babylon 5 and makes for his quarters. Reading from the Book of G’Quan he is convinced the darkness that once threatened to overwhelm the stars has returned.

Tuesday January 17th. Still unable to recall events around his shooting, Security Chief Garibaldi asks Lou Welch to find Talia Winters. He hopes a scan will help him remember.

After finishing interrogating Jack, Security Chief Garibaldi is ordered back to bed. While in Med Lab 1, he thinks about the salute Jack gave him and remembers the Psi Cop Alfred Bester giving the same one last year.

After Security Chief Garibaldi’s revival using the alien healing device, Dr Franklin notes in his log how dangerous the machine can be even after a brief exposure and should only be used in extreme cases.

Jeffrey Sinclair leaves for Minbar aboard the cruiser Solaris to take up his role as Earth Ambassador. On the journey, he sets about studying the Minbari culture.

In Darkness Find Me. President Clark’s comments suggest Sinclair left Earth after learning about events on Babylon 5 from Sheridan. Treason reveals Sinclair’s studying.

Delenn, now free of the residue that covered her body, prepares to return to her seat on the Advisory Council.

Thursday January 19th-Monday January 23rd.

Thursday January 19th 04:22 hours. Jason Colby, disguised as a dock worker, loads Ambassador Sinclair’s belongings onto Delenn’s flyer Zhalen. He hides a PPG rifle in a concealed compartment along with a map of the route Jenimer will take to his inauguration in Yedor. 07:14 hours, Delenn departs for her rendezvous with the Solaris.

Lieutenant Commander Ivanova discovers that Jack has disappeared en route to Earth. She learns he was transferred to a ship with false EarthForce markings and identification codes. Trying to contact EarthDome, she is told the President isn’t taking calls.

Friday January 20th. As Delenn’s flyer docks with the Solaris. Ambassador Sinclair takes an opportunity to contact Security Chief Garibaldi on Babylon 5.

Sunday January 22nd. The Solaris arrives at Minbar and Ambassador Sinclair disembarks for the Earth Alliance embassy in Yedor.

Monday January 23rd. Confronted with Kell's tortured and flayed body, the disappearance of some of the other mages en route to Selic 4 and the destruction of the probes monitoring the Tau Omega system where Thenothk 4 lays, the Circle decide they must risk several of their kind on separate missions. A group led by Herazade will be sent ahead to prepare the hiding place for the others arrival. Blaylock will go to Thenothk 4 to learn of the Shadow activity there, Galen’s volunteering for this mission earns Elric’s disapproval. The last group led by Elric and Ing-Radi are to make for Babylon 5, as a distraction from the real gathering place for the other techno-mages. Disagreeing with their decision to go into hiding, Alwyn decides to help with Elric's deception at Babylon 5.

Prior to The Geometry Of Shadows, The Passing of The Techno-mages: Casting Shadows and Summoning Light.

Elric begins planning the deception at Babylon 5. Fifty mages volunteer for the mission knowing that half of them will not return to join the migration to the hiding place.

Security Chief Garibaldi is discharged from Med Lab 1.

Officer Lou Welch buys a cake, anticipating Security Chief Garibaldi's return to duty.

2 days prior to The Geometry Of Shadows.

The Minbari receive a warning from Babylon 5 about the plot to kill Jenimer and the assassin already being on Minbar. A suspicious Kozorr, of the Star Riders clan, searches Ambassador Sinclair’s belongings finding the PPG rifle and map in the hidden compartment.Convinced he has found the assassin, Kozorr and two escorts go to arrest Ambassador Sinclair for plotting to kill the Chosen One.

Treason and To Dream In The City Of Sorrows.

Neroon is chosen to prosecute the case against Ambassador Sinclair and requests Delenn be kept off the Tribunal.

Jenimer is inaugurated as leader of the Grey Council.

Treason and To Dream In The City Of Sorrows.

Tuesday January 24th.

As Sinclair’s trial begins on Minbar, Garibaldi investigates the critically wounded Psi Cop Dexter Hall and the deaths on the Chiyoda Ku. As Talia performs a deathbed scan, Psi Corps agent Thomas Webster parading as Colonel Rabock arrives to take over the investigation. Delenn contacts the station and at her suggestion Garibaldi checks the docking bay visual logs, finding a recording of Jason Colby hiding the PPG rifle in Sinclair’s belongings he relays the footage immediately to Delenn. Checking against station records Sheridan and Garibaldi go looking for Colby. As Webster is speaking on the Stellarcom to Psi Corps they let slip Webster was responsible for the death of Colby's wife and his recruitment into the Home Guard. Watching this over the tap into the system, Colby kidnaps Webster and boards his shuttle. Taking a mindburst from Webster, Colby shoots the controls and destroys the shuttle and any chance of proving Sinclair’s innocence. On Minbar, faced with the visual evidence from the station Sinclair is found guilty of the assassination charge, but he offers his life to avoid another war, just as Jenimer arrives. Seeing this action as that of an honourable man, Jenimer declares the charges dropped and Sinclair innocent of any charge. After the trial Delenn informs the command staff on the station of the outcome before Sinclair escorts her back to her ship.

The Abbai Delegation make an appointment to meet with Londo.

Prior to The Geometry Of Shadows.

Alwyn and Carvin arrive on Babylon 5 disguised as Drazi. Briefed on Rabelna Dorna's activities, they wait for her in the Bazaar where she meets her contacts, ready to plant information about the Drazi transport Zekhite before Elric and Ing-Radi's arrival.

The Passing Of The Techno-mages:Summoning Light. Alwyn and Carvin arrived the day before Elric's group.

Wednesday January 25th. Captain Sheridan receives Lieutenant Commander Ivanova's promotion order.

Security Chief Garibaldi attends his appointment in Med Lab 1 for examination by Dr Franklin.

Just prior to The Geometry Of Shadows.

Wednesday January 25th-Sunday February 5th.

Having been avoiding the station Drazi so as not to be pulled into the conflict between Green and Purple factions, Rabelna Dorna finally comes out of hiding and goes to the Bazaar. Overhearing the disguised Alwyn and Carvin talk about the techno-mages hiring the Zekhite, she finds her contact to book immediate passage to Thenothk 4.

Elric and the techno-mages make for down below and begin setting up the deception to make it look like all five hundred techno-mages are gathering on the station.

Captain Sheridan goes to see Security Chief Garibaldi in his quarters. He has been informed by Dr Franklin that Security Chief Garibaldi can return to duty whenever he wants.

EarthForce R&D are told of the origins of the techno-mages abilities by the Shadows and decide they need the mages as part of their programme to adapt Shadow tech for their own use.

Conjecture, from End Of The Line.

News reaches Babylon 5 from the Drazi home world that Green and Purple Drazi are killing each other. C and C page Commander Ivanova with the bad news.

Thursday January 26th. The leader of the Green Drazi sends an uplink from Brown 2 to the station house in Commander Ivanova’s name asking Brown 29 be cleared out for a meeting between the Green and Purple Drazi.

Suspicious of the uplink message Lou told him about, Security Chief Garibaldi heads over to Brown 2 fearing Commander Ivanova may need help.

After her rescue, Commander Ivanova checks the database on the Drazi, discovering the fighting will end in a Drazi week. As 1 Drazi cycle is the equivalent of 6 Earth days, she and Security Chief Garibaldi figure the conflict will end in 4 days. They go and wait for the Green Drazi in Brown Sector.

Security Chief Garibaldi tells Captain Sheridan of his decision to return to duty. A small celebration is arranged for his return in Earhart’s but has to be postponed while he catches up on station reports.

Back on duty, Security Chief Garibaldi sneaks a look at Captain Sheridan's personal file to see the sort of man he is dealing with. He notes Sheridan is an excellent tactician, with the ability to take an inferior defensive force and turn it into an offensive force capable of taking on a superior enemy.

A Day In The Strife. Assumes he looked at the file when he returned to duty.

Monday January 30th. The E.A.S. Cortez repair crew, fixing one of the Euphrates jump gates, report to First Officer Ogilvie they will be finished by 1500 hours.

Security Chief Garibaldi is called to Med Lab 1 for an examination by Dr Franklin.

Prior to A Distant Star.

Monday January 30th-Thursday February 2nd.

Using the examination on Security Chief Garibaldi as an excuse,

Dr Franklin schedules examinations for the senior staff.

Delenn goes looking for Captain Sheridan to arrange a council meeting later this week to discuss the problem in Sector 19.

Tuesday January 31st. Traders in the Zocalo report to Security their merchandise is being stolen, but no one has seen the acts being committed.

Captain Sheridan is summoned to Med Lab 1 for examination by Dr Franklin.

Concerned about Delenn’s transformation, the local Minbari elect Teronn to speak to her about their concerns.

Commander Ivanova is summoned to Med Lab 1 for examination by Dr Franklin.

Security Chief Garibaldi goes to speak to Mr Orwell about getting the Bagna Cauda ingredients to him in time for his birthday without Dr Franklin knowing about it.

Wednesday February 1st. Rabelna Dorna boards the luxury liner bound for Thenothk 4 carrying Galen and Blaylock, who are posing as employer and employee of a company that manufacture FTL relays.

Thursday February 2nd. As the E.A.S. Cortez enters hyperspace, the fusion reactors come back on line and an energy spike overloads the ship’s systems with a burst of EMP.

Delenn overhears Security Chief Garibaldi talking about the arrival of his ingredients for Bagna Cauda. She thinks they are a new race coming to the station.

Learning of the delivery of ingredients coming into the station, Dr Franklin figures there is only one person who could pull the ingredients together and goes to find Mr Orwell in the cargo area.

Author's note: As Sheridan said to Maynard that he is the second person in a month to tell him that there is something going on out on the Rim (the first being G'Kar), I am assuming this story starts at the end of January.

Friday February 3rd. The transport Tidewell booked by Elric as part of the deception is destroyed by the Shadows. Taking the news to Elric, Carvin is sent to gamble with Londo to give the appearance they are desperate to obtain another ship.

At his Security briefing, Captain Sheridan learns of the techno-mages on the station. He is ordered by Earth Central to find out where they are going.

The Geometry Of Shadows and The Passing Of The Techno-mages: Summoning Light.

After his meeting with Elric in down below, Vir reports to Londo who goes to see Captain Sheridan.

The Passing Of The Techno-mages:Summoning Light and

Blaylock and Galen disembark at Thenothk 4, while Blaylock follows Rabelna Dorna, Galen books into their hotel. Waiting for Blaylock's return, Galen begins translating Isabelle's spell for listening into the Shadow communications.

Blaylock follows Rabelna to the Shadow constructed City Centre building and through the probes planted on her, observes her meeting with a Drakh where she reports on the techno-mages. She is ordered to return tonight. Gaining access to the city data systems Blaylock plants false information for him and Galen to obtain access to the building, then makes his way to the hotel.

Concerned at the time, Galen accesses the probes planted around the city looking for Blaylock. Remembering G'Leel and the crew of the Khatkhata, Galen accesses the probes planted on them, finding them in a bar. Leaving a note for Blaylock, Galen goes to find her. Returning to the hotel, Blaylock finds Galen's note and makes for the bar where he is meeting G'Leel.

Elric is summoned to Captain Sheridan’s office for the meeting he has been manipulated by Londo into setting up for 9 o’clock.

After his meeting with Elric, Captain Sheridan asks C and C to let him know when the techno-mages are leaving.

Alwyn casts an equation spells on Londo's personal systems. From the probe planted on Vir they watch Londo in his quarters, plagued by Narn opera watching as Alwyn’s spell gathers his financial information and he becomes the owner of twenty thousand shares in a Spoo ranch.

The Geometry Of Shadows and The Passing Of The Techno-mages: Summoning Light.

After gaining information from G'Leel about the activity on Thenothk 4, Galen reports his success with translating Isabelle's spell to listen in on Shadow communications to Blaylock, who recommends trying it out tonight.

Elric asks Alwyn to go to Thenothk 4 to assist Galen and Blaylock, fearing their lives may be in danger after his encounter with Morden.

Saturday February 4th. Returning to the City Centre, Galen and Blaylock follow Rabelna Dorna into the City Centre building and observe her meeting the Drakh as she informs them about the Tidewell and the Zekhite. As Galen is translating the Shadow communications they are detected and coming under attack, both take refuge in an empty room. Trapped, Blaylock protects himself and Galen with a shield as he pierces the building carapace. Jumping to escape, Galen conjures a flying platform to halt their drop when a Shadow vessel appears. Using the spell of destruction Galen damages the Shadow vessel but his tech makes a connection with it. Disorientated, he falls from the platform and is saved from certain death by a platform conjured by Blaylock to break his fall. As he slips into unconsciousness, Galen senses the living being at the core of the ship, Anna Sheridan.

In the early hours, Blaylock brings the unconscious Galen to G'Leel's quarters and begins healing his injuries. During the long process the semi conscious Galen calls out about a woman in the machine which disturbs Blaylock. Hours later with most of Galen's injuries healed, he leaves a note telling Galen to report all that has happened on Thenothk 4 to Elric and leave with G'Leel. Determined to discover whether his personal quest to become one with the tech will lead to his enslavement by it, Blaylock returns to the City Centre building. His entry is discovered and Blaylock is captured when his tech is switched off by the Shadows putting him into a coma like state.

Sunday February 5th. Federico’s holo demons wreak havoc in Londo’s quarters. The mess takes him 2 hours to clean up and the smell they left will take days to clear.

The Geometry Of Shadows and The Passing Of The Techno-mages: Summoning Light

Galen disregards Blaylock's letter and with G'Leel mounts a rescue bid, after accessing the probe on Rabelna Dorna and seeing him being tortured by Tilar. Entering the underground complex through the excavation pit where a Shadow vessel is being dug up, Galen and G'Leel encounter two aliens pushing a gurney with Anna Sheridan on it, recovered from the downed Shadow vessel. Sensing Galen's tech she makes contact and accesses it before he is able to break away. Drugging the aliens they take Anna with them and make for where Elizar and the others are holding Blaylock.

Encountering Shadows and Drakh, Galen uses the spell of destruction on them as they reach the room where Elizar is. G'Leel is shot in the back by Rabelna Dorna and to Galen's horror Elizar has switched off the tech.

The Zekhite is impounded after the Green Drazi crew are attacked by the station Purple Drazi. Putting the final piece of his plan into action, Elric sends Carvin to gamble with Londo to get passage for the mages aboard Lord Refa's transport Ondavi. Meeting Captain Sheridan, Elric divulges most of the plan to him and he in return offers his help to get the mages off the station.

C and C contact Captain Sheridan at Security Chief Garibaldi's little gathering to let him know the techno-mages are leaving.

Unwilling to let Elric sacrifice himself on the Ondavi, Ing-Radi contacts Captain Sheridan telling him what is planned. He assembles a security detail and makes for the docking bay.

Still suffering the after effects of the destruction of his place of power, Elric withdraws from the departures lounge to gather himself. Through the camera there, he observes Londo call an escort to take Carvin aboard the Ondavi. Elric struggles to return to the lounge, too late to stop Carvin from being sent to her death.

On Thenothk 4, Elizar tells Galen about the Shadow origins of the tech to persuade him to join the cause, while pretending to help the techno-mages. Spotting G'Leel's gun on Anna Sheridan's gurney Galen grabs it and demands to be released. Elizar opens the door and Galen is subjected to a telepathic assault by Bunny. Trying to block her scan, Galen grabs the cyberweb implants on Anna's head. Having accessed the building systems, Anna shuts down the signal that has switched off the tech. Blaylock is roused from his coma and Bunny and Elizar run as Galen regains his abilities. Grabbing the unconscious G'Leel, Galen and Blaylock escape. Believing Alwyn has arrived to help them, they follow him and are lead into a trap by the disguised Tilar. Using the spell of destruction on them, killing Tilar and the Drakh, they escape into the tunnels and return to the excavation where the real Alwyn is waiting. As they escape aboard his flyer, Galen uses the spell of destruction on the City Centre building, the spaceport and the warehouse shippng weapons to the Centauri. Galen's demand to be taken to Z'ha'dum is refused as they are confronted by Kosh's ship. With no further protest from Galen, they make for the rendezvous point.

As Elric makes for the Ondavi, he is intercepted by the security detail. Captain Sheridan tells him he is needed alive to lead the techno-mages. Conjouring the full body illusion of a Narn, the disguise Carvin would have used to board the Crystal Cabin, he is hidden among the security team and taken to the waiting liner.

After succesfully deceiving the Shadows at the cost of sacrificing half of the mages including Ing-Radi and Carvin in the explosion aboard the Ondavi, Elric and the remaining techno-mages make for the gathering place to join the other techno-mages.

The Passing Of The Techno-mages:Summoning Light and The Geometry Of Shadows.

Wednesday February 8th. Blaylock, Galen, Alwyn and G'Leel arrive at the new gathering place.

Thursday February 9th. Elric and the remaining techno-mages from Babylon 5 arrive at the new gathering place. Alwyn is distraugt on learning of Carvin's death, Elric apologises to Galen for not telling him the origins of their technology and asks that he come with the rest of them. Almost willing to stay behind with Alwyn and G'Leel, Galen acquiesces and agrees to go with Elric and the others, leaving a disgusted Alwyn behind.

The E.A.S. Cerberus, commanded by Captain Alec Ross, is attacked in the Lanep system by the first experimental Earth/Shadow tech ship, having gone mad because the merging with the human central processor was not handled properly. Holed in C deck with the Cerberus’ auto repair systems down, Ensign Matthew Gideon is ordered to take an EVA repair team out to check the damage. Moving away to better investigate the breach, the Cerberus suddenly moves off as the Shadow hybrid returns. Stranded, Gideon watches in horror as the Shadow hybrid fires on the Cerberus as it opens a jump point to escape. With the Cerberus destroyed the ship moves off.

Crusade:The Path Of Sorrows, End Of The Line and The Passing Of The Techno-mages: Summoning Light.

After Elric was able to access Morden's files and learned of an EarthForce base in the Lanep system, set up to study and adapt Shadow technology, the techno-mages make an unscheduled stop and drop a probe to monitor the EarthForce base. There they observe the Shadow hybrid attacking the base.

Over 2 hours later and with 30 minutes of air remaining, Gideon spots the techno-mage fleet going into hiding. His call for help is seemingly ignored as the ships fly by. Unable to ignore Gideon's pleas, Galen turns his flyer round and picks him up. Rescued by Galen, he is dropped off on the Omega 7 colony With the loss of his ship, Gideon is unable to sleep properly at night again.

Crusade:The Path Of Sorrows and The Passing Of The Techno-mages: Summoning Light.

Failing to recruit the techno-mages to their cause, the Shadows begin suborning thousands of beings from among their allies and implant them with Shadow tech, turning them into warriors for the war with the Vorlons.

The Passing Of The Techno-mages:Invoking Darkness and End Of The Line.

Arriving back on Earth Ensign Gideon gives EarthForce a full acount on the loss of the Cerberus and the three hundred and forty seven crew. On the order of President Clark, to keep the Shadow hybrid ship and the research facilities secret, the EarthForce investigation determines a jump engine malfunction was responsible for the ships destruction and the matter is closed. A short while later, Gideon is promoted to Lieutenant.

As part of his restructuring of EarthGov, President Clark has Senator Hidoshi removed from office.

Friday February 10th. Delenn and Kosh leaves Babylon 5 for Minbar.

Saturday February 11th. In Yedor the capital of Minbar, Jeffrey Sinclair's first appointment in his tenure as Ambassador is with William Cole from Arisia colony. Fascinated by the Minbari he has come to study their language and customs, their martial arts, history and other aspects of their culture. Before taking his leave of Sinclair, William gives him an old copy of Universe Today. Disturbed by the anti alien rhetoric and the attacks on his new posting, Sinclair realises that his role as Ambassador is being used to discredit the Minbari and keep him from pursuing any further investigation into the death of President Santiago.

Monday February 13th. Sinclair is summoned to meet with Jenimer, leader of the Grey Council. In the presence of Delenn, Kosh, Rathenn, Sech Turval the current Anla'shok Na and Vorlon Ambassador to Minbar Ulkesh Naranek, he is told of the history of conflict with the Shadows and the Great War. Sinclair is asked to lead the new Anla'shok because of his Minbari soul. The Minbari believe he is the fulfillment of Valen's prophecy. Agreeing to lead the Anla'shok, Sinclair insists his humanity is recognised, regardless of his soul. He also insists that new Anla'shok are recruited from the Worker Caste along with any recruits from humans currently on Minbar.

Tuesday February 14th. In front of the Grey Council and the Clan leaders, Sinclair is officially installed as Anla'shok Na, agreeing with Neroon's protests that he cannot have the title Entil'zha until he has earned it. Returning to his quarters, Sinclair begins reviewing the most likely candidates for the Anla'shok late into the night.

Wednesday February 15th. Sinclair has a thorough medical examination. Minbari physicians take a large quantity of blood leaving him weak. The physicians explain they know little of human physiology and the tests would help them learn how to keep him and the human Anla'shok healthy. Sinclair moves to the city of Tuzanor, where the Anla'shok training camp is located. After settling in to his new residence, in a private ceremony he is presented with the Ranger pin. Redesigned to include a human figure and a Minbari figure either side of the Isil'zha jewel, the pin has been forged in the white hot fire and cooled in holy water, the blood of the Minbari and his own blood.

With the ceremony over, Sinclair goes to meet the remaining thirty four Anla'shok out of the seventy eight who had not resigned when he became Anla'shok Na.

Learning of Garibaldi’s investigation into the attack on Quadrant 37, Morden has Londo change his travel plans to meet Lord Refa and arranges for a Shadow fighter to intercept Garibaldi’s shuttle. He and Keffer are shot down over a Centauri colony world and making their escape, watch as some of the Shadows allies hide the evidence of the crash. Reminded of events on Mars in 2253, Garibaldi tells Keffer about how he and Commander Sinclair saw the two Shadow vessels there 6 years ago. Evading death in a trap set by the Shadows allies, they are captured by the local Centauri and held until Londo is contacted on Babylon 5 and they are freed. Back on the station telling Sheridan what he has seen on the colony world, Garibaldi and Keffer are reprimanded but Sheridan believes their story.

Author’s note: Garibaldi says the attack on the Quadrant 37 outpost was a couple of months ago.

The first group of candidates ready to begin their Ranger training, among them William Cole, are brought to the camp at Tuzanor.

Tuesday February 28th. Sech Durhan F'hurs Na of the denn'bok, the Minbari fighting pike, finally agrees to train the human Anla'shok in it's mastery after testing Sinclair's own fighting skills. He will allow those worthy, both human and Minbari, licence to carry one.

Charts of Sector 900 made by the E.A.S. Cortez are sent to Babylon 5.

Psi Corps begin a manhunt for one of the biggest manufacturers of Dust in the Earth Sector. The individual uses several aliases including Lindstrom and Morganstern.

Wednesday March 1st. Ambassador Sinclair begins his denn’bok training under Sech Durhan.

Outspoken advocate of Mars Independence and Chief Executive of FutureCorp Taro Isogi, the friend and business mentor of Talia Winters puts together a proposal to end the Mars crisis, bringing freedom and peace to the colony and turning a healthy profit for FutureCorp. Although the proposition is expensive and risky in the short term, Isogi feels that trade agreements negotiated with alien governments can make the colony self supporting by 2269.

Bureau 13 resurrect Abel Horn's preserved body using Project Lazarus technology. Replacing one of his arms with a prosthetic designed to deliver a lethal electrical charge, Horn is programmed to kill Taro Isogi, effectively ending any peaceful resolution to the Mars crisis. The Bureau hope Isogi's death will destroy the Mars independence movement. Horn is deactivated and shipped to Babylon 5 in a secure crate.

Taro Isogi departs Earth for Babylon 5 to meet with Amanda Carter of the Mars Colony Business Affairs Committee to discuss his proposals for the future of Mars. He requested the meeting there as the alien governments crucial to his proposal have representatives on the station.

EarthGov are convinced that Taro Isogi is meeting with Amanda Carter to finance another Mars rebellion. Senator Elise Voudreau is charged with looking into this possible threat to Earth security.

The Ti Kar, an unusual race Captain Sheridan encountered while he was on the E.A.S. Agamemnon, send a delegation led by the Ti Korva to Babylon 5 with a view to joining the Babylon Project.

Earth Central send a financial report to Babylon 5 showing a fifteen percent drop in station revenues. One of the recommendations is to start charging thirty credits rent on the larger quarters used by the senior officers.

Tuesday March 14th. Psi Cops arrest Jensen a member of the underground railroad working within Psi Corps, after he is caught passing on information accessed from Corps files to his associates. He is taken into custody for questioning by Alfred Bester and his assistant.

Thursday March 16th. Delenn goes looking for Captain Sheridan wanting his help to understand what it is to be human. If she is to be a bridge of understanding between their races Delenn feels she would benefit just by sitting and talking to a human over dinner.

At Psi Cop Alfred Bester’s request, the command staff and Talia Winters gather in Captain Sheridan’s office.

One of telepaths from the underground railroad spots Bester as he and Talia are walking together.

For her coming dinner date with Captains Sheridan, Delenn wants to dress more like a human and purchase a black dress. The vendor assures her she will turn heads in it.

Security Chief Garibaldi receives orders from Earth Central to seal off Captain Sheridan and Commander Ivanova’s quarters until they start paying rent. Wanting to reach the underground railroad, he reasons it must be getting support from someone in the command structure. Figuring Commander Ivanova is the most likely person to be it, he goes to Earhart’s to find her and give her the news about their quarters.

Returning to her quarters, Commander Ivanova tries to force her way in, triggering the fire sprinklers, scrambling the lock codes on both sides of the hallway and causing a security alert. On the way to rent a room for the night, she spots Captain Sheridan.

Friday March 17th. Two of the telepaths from the underground railroad observe Talia and Bester as they eat breakfast.

Dr Franklin is told Talia is safe. Deciding to let Captain Sheridan know he is running the underground railroad, he goes to see him on the pretext of arranging a meeting with Captain Sheridan and the head of the railroad.

Psi Cop Alfred Bester decides to sort out the underground railroad himself ahead of Security Chief Garibaldi’s team and makes for Brown Sector.

Captain Sheridan reallocates sixty credits from the combat readiness budget to pay the rent on his and Commander Ivanova’s quarters.

Now knowing Commander Ivanova was right about Psi Corps, she wants to talk to someone she trusts. Thinking of Commander Ivanova, Talia buys a bottle of wine and makes for her quarters to try and reevaluate their relationship.

Dr Franklin makes a backup copy of his file on the underground railroad and stores it on his personal computer in a hidden folder called "Harry". He then purges the original file from the main system.

April.

On a visit to Centauri Prime, Londo meets his three wives, Timov, Daggair and Mariel. Londo gets into an argument with Daggair, who threatens to break a vase over his head.Timov witnesses their altercation.

Soul Mates. Timov said this incident was last month.

An Earth Alliance individual called Yang joins the EarthForce Marine Corps. He becomes friends with another Marine called Turnbow.

GROPOS. Yang has only been in the Corps for a couple of months.

Emperor Turhan grants Londo the right to divorce two of his three wives on the 30th anniversary of his Ascension day. Londo summons Timov, Daggair and Mariel to Babylon 5.

Mariel learns through her contacts in the Royal Court, that Londo is planning to divorce two of his wives. Not taking any chances she contacts Talia Winters' former husband Matt Stoner, whom she has had dealings with in the past, asking him to obtain a booby trapped Centauri artefact from their abandoned colony in Sector 127 and meet her at Babylon 5. Still covertly attached to Psi Corps, Stoner is ordered to bring Talia back with him in the hope of producing empathic offspring.

Prior to Soul Mates and Legions Of Fire:Armies Of Light And Dark.

One of the Med techs lets slip to Londo that his blood transfusion came from Timov. Londo assures him he will not say a word to Dr Franklin about it.

An announcement is made on the Emperor's schedule that he is to visit Babylon 5. It is not known that Turhan wants to stand next to a Narn in neutral territory and publicly apologise for the way the Centauri have treated them over the years. Lord Antono Refa has Psycho Linguistics work on a speech for Londo that is fiery but dignified, elegant but strong. The speech will make a few predictions about the Centauri economy and the military, predictions Refa is ensuring will come true on his path to stealing power from an Emperor he considers weak.

The Coming Of Shadows. Refa had his people work for weeks on Londo's speech. Assumes this was done in response to the news of Turhan's visit to Babylon 5. His motivation for going is later revealed. Refa’s first name is established in Legions Of Fire:The Long Night Of Centauri Prime.

The first new group of Anla'shok complete their training and begin passing through Babylon 5. Patrolling the frontier, they gather intelligence reports too sensitive for normal channels.

The U.S.S. Copernicus intercepts a transmission from Babylon 5. Altering course to investigate, it overrides the course set by the Soldier Of Darkness taking it to the Rim.

The underground railroad for telepaths helps Lyta Alexander leave Earth, escaping from the Psi Corps on a shuttle bound for Mars. Lyta joins a Mars revolutionary group, needing money to live she figures they could use a good telepath.

The Sh'lassen Embassy ask Captain Sheridan for help in dealing with the rebels on Akdor. Consulting EarthDome, they order him to refuse their request.

6 days prior to GROPOS. Assumes the request was made before The Coming Of Shadows, explaining EarthDome's sudden change of mind after the Narn declare war.

Jeffrey Sinclair decides it's time to step up Ranger activity on Babylon 5. He feels it is crucial to use the station in establishing a source of supplies and information. On the insistence of the Vorlons not to disclose their activity too early, Sinclair records a message for Security Chief Garibaldi, to try and warn him about the Shadow threat without being specific. He asks that he accord the Rangers all the courtesy and cooperation he can give, without revealing their presence. Sinclair entrusts the human Ranger who has already been to the station twice, to deliver the message to Security Chief Garibaldi and give a copy to Delenn.

To Dream In The City Of Sorrows and prior to The Coming Of Shadows.

With no clear line of succession to the throne, Emperor Turhan's third wife, the Lady Morella assumes the spirit of her dead husband and is now presumed to speak for him from the other side.

The Centaurum issue a statement saying Prime Minister Malachi took his own life after the death of Emperor Turhan.

Shortly after Emperor Cartagia comes to power, those in the Royal Court and the Centaurum realise he is insane. Any who dare to speak out are executed and Emperor Cartagia keeps their heads in a secret room within the Palace. Emperor Cartagia has the female telepaths who customarily accompany the Emperor of the day executed, as he doesn’t want women looking into his mind.

The Hour Of The Wolf and Legions Of Fire:Out Of The Darkness.

In his private bedchamber, Cartagia’s sex games with the female member of the court he is seducing, involves him dressing up in their clothes.

With the Narn declaration of war, EarthDome decide to help the Sh'lassen Triumvirate with the rebels on Akdor. In return for their assistance, the Earth Alliance want to establish a permanent presence in Sh'lassen territory, which is located close to Centauri space. The skills of General Richard Franklin and the 356th Platoon are called on to plan and execute Operation:Sudden Death, involving twenty five thousand troops in a surgical strike against the rebel stronghold at Matok. As the Babylon 5 jumpgate is the nearest Earth Alliance gate near the Sh’lassen Sector and because of Captain Sheridan’s knowledge of Matok gained during the Karani Expedition, the station is chosen as a staging area. If things go wrong at Matok the 356th will need a fall back position so EarthForce R&D supply advanced weaponry to update Babylon 5’s defence grid.

The Operation is kept secret from the troops, who believe they are bound for Io once they leave Babylon 5.

General William Hague introduces his former academy classmate, now Captain of the E.A.S. Clarkstown, to Major Ed Ryan. He is also introduced to the Captain's wife, three children and their Abyssinian cat called Max.

Ranger William Cole comes to Arisia mining colony to see his brother Marcus. Telling him about the Rangers and the Shadows, Marcus says he is being a fool chasing legends and playing the hero. Marcus doesn't listen to his brother's warning of a Shadow attack on the colony. When the attack comes the colony is wiped out killing Hasina Mandisa, who Marcus was fond of. Mortally wounded in the attack, William asks his brother to finish what he has started. Keeping his promise to William, Marcus goes in search of the Rangers.

With Jenimer unwell, Coplann is chosen to be the next leader of the Grey Council. They also line up Neroon as a replacement for Delenn.

Two ships passing through Sector 92 report unusual sightings of bright light and turbulence. A Drazi transport also disappears off the screens in that area, captured by the Streib.

Catherine Sakai having completed her survey commission returns to Babylon 5 and finds Commander Sinclair has been made Ambassador to Minbar. She tries to contact Security Chief Garibaldi but he and the command staff are busy trying to locate Captain Sheridan, who is being held by the Streib. When Security Chief Garibaldi returns her call, he arranges passage to Minbar for her.

Ta'Lon is transferred to a Narn hospital where he can recouperate from his broken ribs and internal bruising. When he recovers, he means to return to Babylon 5 and thank Captain Sheridan, but the war prevents him from doing so.

Catherine Sakai arrives on Minbar and from the spaceport at Yedor she travels to Tuzanor. Meeting with Sinclair, he tells her about the work being done there with the Rangers and the Shadow threat, about the Minbari prophecy and Valen. The following day as Catherine is settling in, Sinclair receives a message to meet with Jenimer. There he is told Delenn has been removed from the Council and replaced by Neroon.

The Babylon 5 Oversight Committee plan to create official Babylon 5 merchandise in an effort to make the station more self supporting and increase revenues. Captain Sheridan gets to hear about their plans and tries to fight them, but with a projected income of two million credits, he loses.

There All the Honor Lies. Sheridan said he heard about the merchandising plan a few weeks ago.

In response to the Earth Alliance wish to involve them in the Babylon Project, the Lumati send their representative Correlilmurzon, and his servitor Taq, to Babylon 5 to assess whether Earth is worthy of an alliance with them.

A Narn colony comes under Centauri attack while it is being evacuated. Five thousand Narn die as a result. A recording of the attack is sent to G'Kar on Babylon 5.

Now things have gone quiet regarding President Santiago's death, President Clark orders Earth Special Intelligence to bring in his former physician Dr Everett Jacobs. General Hague's people hear Jacobs is being sought, so they help him escape with the data crystal containing Clark's medical examination, showing he was in good health prior to his departure from EarthForce 1. With Clark's men closing in on him, Jacobs doesn't rendezvous with his contact on Io, instead he jumps the first transport to Babylon 5.

General Hague's operative, Sarah departs Earth for Babylon 5 to warn Captain Sheridan about the ESI pursuit of Dr Jacobs.

Shiashnik, a Markab, is passing through Sector 14 en route to Babylon 5 when he accidentally picks up a non corporeal life form that had come through the time rift there.

Vocator Urza Jaddo, an old friend and duelling companion to Londo in the Couro Prido, travels to Babylon 5 to seek his help when he learns that Lord Refa has put a motion in front of the Centaurum declaring House Jaddo traitors to the Republic.

Londo and Vir are walking past the Pak’ma’ra quarters and hear them singing, something they only do at certain times of the year as part of their religious ceremonies. It was the most beautiful sound Vir ever heard, he couldn’t make out what the words were but he knew that the song was full of sadness, hope and wonder and a sense of loss. He looks at Londo, and seeing a tear running down his face, suggests they leave because its upsetting him. Londo just stands there and listens. When the song is over Londo turns to Vir and says "There are forty nine gods in our pantheon Vir, to tell you the truth I never believed in any of them. But if just one of them existed then God sings with that voice". To cheer himself up, on the way to their quarters, they discuss Centauri opera.

Marcus Cole arrives on Minbar and travels to Tuzanor to join the Rangers, fulfilling his promise to William. After 2 days the candidates are given a briefing by Ambassador Sinclair on the Rangers and their mission. After the briefing, he apologises to Marcus for not meeting him earlier and offers condolences on William's death. Catherine Sakai also makes the decision to join, but Sinclair is initially against the idea until she convinces him her skills as a pilot would be useful.

Guinevere Corey completes a legal job and starts her journey back to Earth.

A Geological consultant is climbing a mountain on Mars when she breaks her leg in three places. She is caught in a landslide that almost kills her.

September. Jenimer collapses while conferring with the Grey Council. Ambassador Sinclair is summoned to his palace as he is dying. Jenimer's last edict, given to Neroon before he dies is that Sinclair undergo the ritual to become Entil'zha. Neroon cannot disagree with the Chosen One's last wish and doesn't see the harm in having a human Entil'zha in charge of mostly human Rangers. Preparations begin for the ceremony in a week and a half.

An ISN news team fronted by Cynthia Torqueman depart Earth on the passenger transport Heyerdahl to do a news item on 36 hours of life aboard Babylon 5.

And Now For A Word. 2 days prior to their arrival on the station.

Narn intelligence learn that the Centauri are transporting weapons of mass destruction, including fusion bombs, ion cannons and outlawed mass drivers through Babylon 5. The Narn cruiser Na'Ton is despatched to intercept the Centauri transport Molios, that is carrying the weapons.

And Now For A Word. Prior to the arrival of the ISN team.

The ISN news team arrive at Babylon 5 in time to witness and record the Na'Ton attack the Molios. An investigation of the Molios wreckage supports G'Kar's claim about Centauri weapons shipments. Londo and Captain Sheridan go head to head during an emergency Council session, when Londo declares that any action taken to search Centauri vessels for weapons will be considered an act of war. A Centauri warship arrives to blockade Babylon 5 but is warned by Captain Sheridan that any hostile action will be considered an attack on the station. A Narn warship arrives and a fire fight ensues destroying both ships. The situation returns to normal, for the moment. After gaining exclusive interviews with command staff and station personnel, Ms Torqueman interviews the Ambassadors, reducing Delenn to tears with her hostile attitude. They also catch a brief glimpse of Kosh while setting up a shot. After 36 hours the team leave Babylon 5 for Earth. At EarthDome in Geneva, Ms Torqueman interviews Senator Ronald Quantrell.

After her encounter with Cynthia Torqueman, Delenn begins reading Universe Today to learn what humans think of the Minbari. She requests "Eye on Minbar" in her personal preferences.

2 days before the ceremony to install Ambassador Sinclair as Entil'zha, Minbari physicians discover that the ritual Sha'neyat drink is poisonous to humans. Having read about the ceremony Sinclair knows he only has to taste the brew, but even then it will make him seriously ill. Still willing to go through with it to satisfy tradition and Neroon, in spite of the risk, on the day of the ceremony Sinclair sips the Sha'neyat as part of the ritual.

When the ceremony is complete and he is declared Entil'zha, Sinclair is given immediate medical attention, remaining gravely ill for 4 days until the Sha'neyat has cleared out of his system.

A poll conducted by ISN shows forty one percent of the planet's population are not in favour of the time and resources spent on Babylon 5.

The newly formed Office Of Public Morale shows President Clark's popularity rising because of his Earth centred policies.

The trial of Lester James Munro begins. He stands accused of murdering seven people during a 10 day killing spree in New Vegas.

The transport Cartee departs Markab carrying two hundred and three passengers. Among them are Markab carrying the Drafa plague.

The first Markab death on Babylon 5 caused by Drafa, is recorded as death by natural causes. Markab physician Lazarenn has been ordered to remain silent about the true nature of the death.

3 days prior to Confessions And Lamentations.

Lennier begins preparing a special meal for Delenn and Captain Sheridan. During the 2 days of cooking, Lennier will not sleep and eat only bread and water to remain pure. Following traditions and rituals, the food must be sanctified during each of the fifteen stages of cooking. The spices must be blessed, and a specific prayer be spoken when they are used. The spices can only be used once and in the correct order, if an error is made the whole meal is abandoned and started again from scratch.

With the Markab dead, raiders use the jumpgate in Sector 45 to strip their home world.

A couple of Alpha Squadron pilots are returning from a job in Sector 14 when they witness a Shadow vessel in hyperspace. Pilot Mitchell Harvey records changes in local hyperspace and an unusual neutrino trail in the Shadow vessel's wake.

Conjecture, from The Fall Of Night and To Dream In The City Of Sorrows. Assumes Mitch and the other pilot were returning from the job in Sector 14 as the Shadows allies were moving in on the time rift.

As Marcus Cole and Catherine Sakai celebrate becoming Rangers, word comes to Ambassador Sinclair that the Shadows allies are attempting to open the time rift in Sector 14 and send ships through it, potentially altering history. Rathenn tells him the Vorlons cannot be seen to be involved with the time rift, so they will send a small team of Rangers using one man prototype fighters based on White Star technology. With Catherine's name on the list of pilots, she volunteers for the mission, Sinclair says he will ask Marcus and he will fly the third fighter. Rathenn travels with them on the transport to Babylon 5 space. Before the team depart for Sector 14 they are given time stabilisers sent by Draal to anchor them in the present, and counter the effects of the time distortion. Arriving in Sector 14, the team eliminate five Shadow fighters guarding the device in the rift's opening. Destroying the device pulls Sinclair, Catherine and Marcus toward the rift's event horizon. Making their way out they are ambushed by a sixth Shadow fighter. The fighter is destroyed but Catherine's ship is hit and she is lost in the time rift. Sinclair's cockpit is damaged by an explosion injuring his left cheek. Limping back to the far side of Epsilon 3, they return to Minbar. Sinclair wants to lead a rescue mission but Rathenn tells him it would have little chance of success and because of his accidental trip into the rift, he would die of old age when he came forward in time again. A couple of days later Kosh visits him to offers condolences, and Sinclair asks him whether Catherine could still be alive. As he leaves Kosh replies "Perhaps".

Friday November 24th. Lee, on an intelligence gathering mission for the Mars resistance in the Psi Corps facility at Syria Planum discovers the Sleeper Program and a traitor on Babylon 5. Downloading information onto a data crystal, he arranges to meet his contact Derek, a Ranger. Lee is discovered and on the way to his meeting, he is attacked. Mortally wounded he escapes his captors.

Wednesday November 29th. With the information obtained by the Resistance, Lyta Alexander decideds she must return to Babylon 5 to warn them there is a traitor in their midst. Armed with the Sleeper password "Control" she takes a transport sequestered by the Mars Resistance for the journey. En route to Babylon 5 the transport is attacked.

The Centauri move in on Narn colony worlds. Shi, Dras and Zok soon fall to their advance.

Thursday November 30th. The Centauri intercept a coded transmission from the Narn Strategic Command to one of their flagships about an attack on the recently located Centauri supply world of Gorash 7. Londo is summoned back to Centauri Prime by Lord Refa, who wants Londo's associates to destroy the Narn forces at Gorash 7 while the Centauri bomb the Narn home world with mass drivers.

3 days prior to The Long Twilight Struggle. The journey time between Babylon 5 and Centauri Prime is established in The Very Long Night Of Londo Mollari.

Friday December 1st. With the air recycling unit broken in her quarters, Talia has to look for temporary accommodation until the problem is fixed. She calls around but everywhere is fully booked. Talia makes for her breakfast date with Commander Ivanova.

Security Chief Garibaldi begins running a check on Lyta Alexander’s story through Dr Franklin’s contacts in the underground railroad.

Delenn goes looking for Captain Sheridan in the Zen garden, to arrange a meeting tomorrow to discuss food shipments to Narn.

After her meeting with Captain Sheridan in the Zen garden, Delenn looks at some of the more colourful aspects of human language.

In the wake of the attack on her escort, Lyta Alexander goes into hiding in Brown 3.

Saturday December 2nd. Commander Ivanova makes the decision to tell Captain Sheridan she is a latent telepath, now he has agreed to let Lyta send the password to reveal the traitor among the staff. Knowing the passcode to Captain Sheridan’s quarters, she lets herself in to wait for him.

Captain Sheridan summons the command staff to his office for Lyta to send the password into their minds.

Captain Sheridan arranges transport for Lyta to escape ahead of Psi Cops arriving on the station. Before she leaves Lyta goes to see Kosh.

Saturday December 2nd (end of story).

Sunday December 3rd. On Centauri Prime Emperor Cartagia goes on a walkabout among the people ahead of Londo arriving at the Royal Palace.

With warships awaiting in hyperspace, Londo and Lord Refa board the Valerius bound for Narn.

Monday December 4th. After leaving Babylon 5, Lyta Alexander returns to Mars, finding ships Captain David Slayner willing to take her to the border of the Vorlon Empire. Unknown to them, the ship is tracked by I.P.X. on long range probes.

Wednesday December 6th. Having watched Captain Sheridan for the last year, Draal decides to make contact with the station.

As the Centauri begin bombing Narn, the Minbari Federation,Vorlon Empire and the Earth Alliance make official protests.

During the bombing G'Kar's daughter is smuggled off Narn and sent to Earth. She is put in the care of the Thomas family.

Sunday December 10th. G’Kar is ordered by the Kha’Ri to request sanctuary aboard Babylon 5 ahead of their surrender.

Ahead of his arrival back at Babylon 5, Londo receives news of the Narn surrender. He is given details of the terms including the removal of G’Kar to stand trial for crimes against the Centauri.

Monday December 11th. With Delenn putting herself at the centre of the coming storm, Kosh summons an Inquisitor from Vorlon to determine if she is the right person, in the right place, at the right time.

8 days prior to Comes the Inquisitor.

Na'Toth is in the capital when the Centauri bomb Narn. An asteroid hits the city killing five million people. When she comes round there is a Centauri with his boot on her throat, she tries to fight back but the next thing she remembers is being on a transport taking her to Centauri Prime as a war trophy, along with others.

Abused by the Centauri, Na'Toth is locked up in underground cells in the south end of the Palace on Emperor Cartagia's order, when she is no longer "entertaining".

The Narn cruiser G'Dok commanded by War Leader Na'Kal is on deep patrol assessing potential targets when Narn is bombed. Centauri forces pursue them after the bombing.

Learning about the Rangers on Babylon 5, Commander Ivanova discovers they are under the joint command of Captain Sheridan and Delenn, with Security Chief Garibaldi as their liason.

The Centauri invade territory held by the Drazi and the Pak'ma'ra. Their forces take a Drazi listening post, claiming they have liberated it. An official protest is lodged by the respective parties.

Friday December 15th. Beaming a signal into Vorlon space for 3 days the Captain, David Slayner gets nervous and wants to leave. Lyta gives him the last of her money for a lifepod and 5 days worth of oxygen and food. When the ship leaves, Lyta begins sending a telepathic message in all directions.

Passing Through Gethsemane and Thirdspace.

With the permission of the Drazi, a Ranger training camp is to be established on the Zagros 7 colony. Ambassador Sinclair assigns Marcus Cole to help in setting it up. Before leaving Marcus meets with Sinclair, who thanking him for his friendship, presents him with a denn'bok he had intended as a gift for Catherine. He tells Marcus that she would've appreciated him having it. Taking his leave, Marcus departs for the colony.

Monday December 18th. With a potential threat to Babylon 5 from the Centauri, Captain Sheridan begins running the station fighter wings through Centauri combat models.

Monday December 18th (start of story).

After meeting with the Pak’ma’ra and Drazi Ambassadors, Captain Sheridan summons Londo. He sends a full report to EarthDome on the Centauri situation after speaking to Londo.

Author’s note:Lantz notes that Sheridan has been running the combat models all week suggesting this story starts before Comes The Inquisitor.

G'Kar begins organising armed resistance to the Centauri occupation. He contacts an arms supplier, Mr Timothy Chase to purchase weapons using the life savings given by those Narn who escaped the bombing.

In the Zocalo G’Kar tries to rally support for the Narn, making sure their voices are not forgotten.

Lennier tells Delenn that Kosh has been calling for her. She goes to meet him in Red 6.

Security Chief Garibaldi learns that G’Kar is buying weapons for the resistance back on Narn. Wanting to help G’Kar, he contacts an associate of his who runs a transfer station in Sector 90. He agrees to help ship the weapons. Down loading the information onto datacrystal Security Chief Garibaldi goes to find G’Kar.

Finding Grey 19 matches Mr Sebastian’s requirements, Captain Sheridan tells Delenn he is waiting there for him.

Under Captain Sheridan’s instructions Security Chief Garibaldi contacts the Rangers in Narn space and relays the information on the family G’Kar seeks.

Wednesday December 20th. With no food left and her air almost gone, Lyta Alexander is lying on the floor of her lifepod when a Vorlon ship arrives. She is taken aboard and transported to the Vorlon homeworld.

Passing Through Gethsemane and Thirdspace.

With his task finished, Mr Sebastian prepares to leave Babylon 5.

Commander Ivanova’s search of the historical database reveals Mr Sebastian disappeared on Sunday November 11th 1888, 2 days after the last of the Whitechapel Murders in London. Captain Sheridan realises Mr Sebastian was Jack the Ripper.

Having located the Narn family, the Rangers relay the message from Narn to Babylon 5, securing G’Kar’s position with the local Narn population.

Security Chief Garibaldi's associate in Sector 90 begins shipping the weapons destined for the Narn resistance.

G'Kar arranges to pay an individual to bring messages back and forth from the people on Narn to the Narn on Babylon 5. G'Kar has to pay a heavy price to get the messages smuggled past the Centauri.

A report is made by the Nightwatch on store holder Xavier Darabuto for his complaint about new import regulations.

EarthGov and Frederick Lantz of the Ministry Of Peace secretly draw up a Non Aggression Treaty between the Earth Alliance and Centauri Republic.

Fighting for their lives since Narn was bombed and with their supplies running low, War Leader Na'Kal orders the G'Dok to Babylon 5 to seek help.

Thursday December 21st. Frederick Lantz is ordered to go to Babylon 5. He is accompanied by Mr Welles of the Nightwatch Division who has done research on Commander Ivanova and thinks she may make a good recruit.

Commander Ivanova has a piece of the Black Star removed from the EarthForce archive and sent to Babylon 5. She intends to give it as a christmas present to Captain Sheridan as a reminder that some times the impossible is possible.

Saturday December 23rd. Lieutenant Keffer learns from another pilot about Mitchell Harvey's encounter with a Shadow vessel and goes looking for him.

Lord Refa allies himself with Morden, who asks him to secure the planet Zagros 7. The Centauri deploy planetary blockade mines around the Ranger training world.

Matters Of Honor. Marcus says the blockade was put into place 2 weeks ago. Ceremonies Of Light And Dark reveals the two are now allied.

Captain Sheridan summons G’Kar to C and C to show him the G’Dok on the far side of Epsilon 3.

Sunday December 24th. A C and C technician in the Nightwatch informs Mr Lantz about the Starfury Squadrons flying Centauri combat models all week. Seeing this as a threat to the secret non aggression treaty he has negotiated, Mr Lantz, Mr Welles and Commander Ivanova go to Captain Sheridan to protest.

Mr Welles informs Londo of the G’Dok’s presense at Babylon 5. He in turn contacts the Centaurum who order a nearby war cruiser to the station.

After being seen by so many races in the Zen Garden while rescuing Captain Sheridan, Kosh returns to his ship to rest.

News of Kosh’s appearance spread through the station, each race seeing him according to their own type. The Drazi see Droshalla, the Minbari see Valeria and the Narn G’Lan.

Sunday December 24th (end of story).

Repairs begin on the Core Shuttle track and maintenance crews retrieve the damaged forward cargo stabiliser and begin reattaching it.

Captain Sheridan tries to reach Kosh to thank him for saving his life but none of his calls are returned.

A ship encounters an EarthForce distress beacon attached to Lieutenant Warren Keffer's gun camera film of a Shadow vessel. They return to Earth and give the film to ISN.

Wednesday December 27th. ISN broadcast Lieutenant Keffer's gun camera film. The broadcast is pulled off the air and strategic analysts in EarthDome promise to find out who this new race might be. The footage is turned over to EarthForce Special Intelligence Research Division for study.

A few days after the Non Aggression Treaty is signed between Earth and Centauri Prime, the Centauri begin moving in on other worlds in the League Of Non Aligned Worlds. They ask the Drazi for two of their colony worlds to create a "buffer zone", but the Drazi refuse their request.

The Fall Of Night and Dust To Dust.

Robert J.Carlsen is told by everyone around him it's nothing personal when he loses his job, as these are chaotic times. Driven over the edge by the loss of his job, his wife and apartment, he steals Duridium Nitrate explosives from his former employers at the ice mining operation on Vega 7 to become an instrument of chaos.

Convictions. Assumes Carlsen worked where he stole the explosives from.

Saturday December 30th. Hired to work at Proxima 3, Carlsen puts his plan into action by planting explosives at random and setting them off.
