MORE HARRY POTTER?
There have been no HARRY POTTER novels out for three years now. The last, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
part 1, will be in theaters in November.
On "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Friday (Oct. 1), author J.K. Rowling says she could possibly write two more books in the
series. "They're all in my head still. I could definitely write an eighth, a ninth book," Rowling says, setting
Potterheads' hearts aflutter. "I think I am done, but you never know."
After Rowling finished writing "Deathly Hallows," the final book in the series, she mourned. "It was a bereavement.
It was huge," she admits. "Initially I was elated, then I cried like I had never cried before. And only twice in my
life have I cried like that, [the other] when my mother died."
"The odd thing is -- this is life, isn't it -- the books wouldn't be what they are if she hadn't died," says Rowling.
"I mean, her death is literally on every other page in the 'Harry Potter' books. At least half of Harry's journey is
to deal with death, what it does to the living, what it means to die, what survives death. If she hadn't died, I don't
think it is too strong to say there wouldn't be Harry Potter. The books are what they are because she died."
During the interview, Rowling also discussed her history with depression, her rise to fame and how she still doesn't
feel the impact of her wealth.
The first part of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" film will be released on Nov. 19.
WEEKEND BOX OFFICE
Sony's Facebook drama THE SOCIAL NETWORK topped the domestic box office with $8 million in its first day of
release on Friday. That puts the David Fincher-helmed drama about the controversial early days of the social-
networking site on track to ring up $23 million-$28 million through Sunday. Reviews of SOCIAL NETWORK have
been almost entirely positive, stimulating early awards buzz on the Aaron Sorkin-penned film.
Jesse Eisenberg ( "Zombieland") portrays Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg in the PG-13 pic; co-stars include
Andrew Garfield ("The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus"), Justin Timberlake and Rooney Mara. Recently cast in the
title role of the American adaptation of Swedish crime thriller "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," Mara plays
Zuckerberg's college girlfriend.
Fox's Michael Douglas starrer WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS registered $3.3 million in second place. That
gives the financial-thriller sequel $29 million in cumulative box office through eight days in release.
Entering its third week, Ben Affleck's THE TOWN from Warner Bros. fetched $3.1 million in third place on Friday.
The Boston-based heist thriller totes a $57.4 million total.
Warners' 3D animated fantasy LEGEND OF THE GUARDIAN: OWLS OF GA'HOOLE was fourth among the daily grossers with
$2.6 million and a $21.8 million total. Sony's youth comedy EASY A took fifth with $2.7 million and a $38.1
million cume.
Two other wide openers posted modest first-day sums outside of the top five rankings: Overture's vampire thriller
LET ME IN sunk its teeth into $1.9 million; Paramount Vantage horror thriller CASE 39, starring Renee Zellweger
and Bradley Cooper, collected $1.8 million on Friday.
DEATH RACE 2 TRAILER
Universal Studios Home Entertainment has revealed the trailer for DEATH RACE 2, due out on DVD and Blu-ray
by year's end. Luke Goss, Tanit Phoenix, Sean Bean, Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, Frederick Koehler and Lauren
Cohan star in this prequel which focuses on how the race became a sensation.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER
Variety reports that 20th Century Fox has acquired the film rights for the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, to be directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Tim Burton. The script for
the 3D project was written by Grahame-Smith. The studio is planning a 2012 release. The following is how
publisher Grand Central Publishing describes the book:
Indiana, 1818. Moonlight falls through the dense woods that surround a one-room cabin, where a nine-year-old
Abraham Lincoln kneels at his suffering mother's bedside. She's been stricken with something the old-timers call
"Milk Sickness."
"My baby boy..." she whispers before dying.
Only later will the grieving Abe learn that his mother's fatal affliction was actually the work of a vampire.
When the truth becomes known to young Lincoln, he writes in his journal, "henceforth my life shall be one of rigorous
study and devotion. I shall become a master of mind and body. And this mastery shall have but one purpose..."
Gifted with his legendary height, strength, and skill with an ax, Abe sets out on a path of vengeance that will
lead him all the way to the White House.
While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against
the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith
stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more
than 140 years.
Using the journal as his guide and writing in the grand biographical style of Doris Kearns Goodwin and David McCullough,
Seth has reconstructed the true life story of our greatest president for the first time-all while revealing the hidden
history behind the Civil War and uncovering the role vampires played in the birth, growth, and near-death of our nation.
Lionsgate previously picked up the film rights to the author's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, which Natalie
Portman is attached to star in.
BREAKING DAWN
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Summit Entertainment has filled out the cast members playing the vampire
coven known as the Denali clan in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN.
The already cast Maggie Grace along with MyAnna Buring ("The Descent") and Casey LaBow (TV's "Moonlight") will
play a trio of Russian vampire sisters named Irina, Tanya and Kate respectively. Tanya is a rival for the affections
of Edward Cullen, while Kate can produce an electric current.
Mia Maestro (TV's "Alias") and Christian Camargo (TV's "Dexter") have also joined the cast as Carmen and Eleazar,
the two Spanish heads of the coven. In the books, the Denali's are the only other non-human-feeding vampire clan
besides the Cullens.
Bill Condon directs the project which aims to kick off filming next month.
E.D.F.
"Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi and "District 9" producer Bill Block are both in negotiations to produce the alien
invasion thriller "E.D.F." for Warner Bros. Pictures reports Vulture.
The story opens with an alien attack to test our defenses in preparation for a larger scale attack coming in ten
months time. During that period between attacks, world leaders have to figure out how to fight off the coming
invasion.
E.D.F. stands for Earth Defense Force. Andrew Marlowe ("Air Force One") penned the script, while Raimi is not
expected to direct.

WALLENDER RETURNS TO PBS
If you enjoy good acting and exceptional writing in a series, you will be happy to hear that beginning
Sunday night (Oct. 3) on PBS, WALLENDER and Branagh return to "Masterpiece Mystery" for three new episodes
of the series that first aired in May 2009. Based on Swede Henning Mankell's popular crime novels, "Wallander II"
is destined to stamp Branagh's face on Kurt Wallander just as indelibly as the late John Thaw inhabited Chief
Inspector Endeavour Morse and David Suchet has become Hercule Poirot.
Branagh was nominated for an Emmy in 2010 for his portrayal of Wallander, a policeman in the historic Swedish
seaside town of Ystad. Wallander is a bit of a sad case: His wife has left him, his 20-something daughter feels
invisible in his life, and his artist father is failing physically and mentally. There's not much in Wallander's
life outside of work, but whether this is cause or effect is not completely clear.
Sunday's episode, "Faceless Killers," is based on the first Wallander novel, which begins with the bludgeoning
of an elderly farm couple in their home. As the wife lies dying, she tries to identify her attacker. Maybe she
whispers "foreigner," although Wallander isn't certain. When the utterance leaks to the press, simmering racial
tensions begin to boil, more deaths occur and the case spirals out of control.
Although the mysteries to be solved in this series are satisfyingly complex, the greatest pleasure in watching
them comes from the breathtaking beauty of the Swedish countryside and the aching solitude of Branagh's Wallander.
Both are front and center in the second episode of the series, "The Man Who Smiled" (Oct. 10), which finds Wallander
contemplating quitting the police force after he has killed a man in the line of duty. Teetering on the edge of
depression, popping pills and washing them down with red wine, Wallander is in self-imposed exile. He spends his
days walking a desolate beach under cold, gray skies until an old friend tracks him down and pleads with him to
investigate a suspicious fatal car crash.
Reluctantly, Wallander returns to the real world and back to work, continually haunted by the death he caused and
tortured by his family's open disappointment in him. Only when he begins to make progress on the case is he able
to dig himself out of his sadness, loneliness -- and rage.
Perhaps the best of the new episodes is the final one, "The Fifth Woman," which airs Oct. 17. The police are on the
trail of a serial murderer who appears to be targeting men who have abused the women in their lives. As the difficult
investigation expands in multiple directions, Wallander is confronted with a personal tragedy that threatens to
plunge him back into that very dark place. Raw emotions etch themselves into Branagh's handsome, expressive face
and tears threaten. His Wallander is a nearly broken man desperately trying to hold himself together while everything
around him is falling apart.
What a thrill it is to watch one of the finest actors working today.
If you enjoy these new dramas, you will want to look up the WALLENDER DVD available from Warner Home Video.
STEPHEN J. CANNEL DIES
You have seen his name on dozens of TV series - and novels. Stephen J. Cannell, a prolific TV producer and writer
who created "The Rockford Files," "The A-Team," "21 Jump Street" and more, has died Thursday night at his home in
Pasadena, California. Cannell, 69, had been fighting melanoma for some time.
"With profound sadness, we have to announce that our dear friend and colleague, Stephen Cannell, has lost a brave
fight against cancer," a statement on Cannell's website reads. "He will be missed beyond measure by the Cannell Team
and all of us who had the privilege and the plain good luck to know and work with him. Through the legacy of his body
of work, with which he was able to entertain and enrich the lives of millions of viewers and thousands of readers, he
will always be with us, living on in our hearts and minds, with fond memories forever."
Cannell overcame dyslexia to become one of the most successful TV creators of the 1970s and '80s. He won an Emmy for
outstanding drama series in 1978 for "The Rockford Files" and was nominated as a writer and producer five other times
for his shows "Tenspeed and Brown Shoe," "The Greatest American Hero" and "Wiseguy." He also earned lifetime achievement
awards from the Writers Guild of America and the Mystery Writers of America.
His credits as a writer and producer also include "Adam-12," "Baretta," "Hardcastle and McCormick," "Riptide," "Hunter"
and "Silk Stalkings." Cannell was also a best-selling author with 16 titles to his credit, and he occasionally appeared
in front of the camera as well -- most recently as one of Castle's (Nathan Fillion) mystery-writer poker buddies on
the ABC series "Castle."
He's survived by his wife, Marcia, and three children.
WONDER WOMAN COMING TO TV
Deadline reports that WONDER WOMAN is headed to the small screen. The Amazon Princess is being eyed for a television
series from writer/producer David E. Kelley.
Kelley is best known for creating series like "Ally McBeal," "Chicago Hope" and, most recently, "Boston Legal." He
has also drafted screenplays for films like Lake Placid and Mystery, Alaska.
A WONDER WOMAN series would presumably aim to fill the gap that will be left when the long-running SMALLVILLE goes
off the air next year. If that Superman-inspired series is any indication, Kelley's Wonder Woman adaptation could take
an unexpected angle to the story of DC's preeminent superheroine. It is unknown whether Wonder Woman would even be
used as the show's title.
Long in development for a feature film, the best known adaptation of the character came in the form of a three-season
live-action series in the 1970's, starring Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and her alter ego, Diana Prince.
Should the series make it beyond the planning stages, Kelley's take on Wonder Woman wouldn't necessarily preclude
the character from also appearing in a movie, as Superman Returns did with the unrelated "Smallville."
MY STROKE OF INSIGHT
According to Deadline, Ron Howard has made a deal with Sony Pictures to direct and produce MY STROKE OF INSIGHT,
based on brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor's memoir. The book is described as follows:
A brain scientist's journey from a debilitating stroke to full recovery becomes an inspiring exploration of human
consciousness and its possibilities. On the morning of December 10, 1996, Jill Bolte Taylor, a thirty-seven-year-old
Harvard-trained brain scientist, experienced a massive stroke when a blood vessel exploded in the left side of her
brain. A neuroanatomist by profession, she observed her own mind completely deteriorate to the point that she could
not walk, talk, read, write, or recall any of her life, all within the space of four brief hours. As the damaged
left side of her brain - the rational, grounded, detail and time-oriented side - swung in and out of function,
Taylor alternated between two distinct and opposite realities: the euphoric nirvana of the intuitive and
kinesthetic right brain, in which she felt a sense of complete well-being and peace; and the logical, sequential
left brain, which recognized Jill was having a stroke, and enabled her to seek help before she was lost completely.
In "My Stroke of Insight," Taylor shares her unique perspective on the brain and its capacity for recovery, and
the sense of omniscient understanding she gained from this unusual and inspiring voyage out of the abyss of a
wounded brain. It would take eight years for Taylor to heal completely. Because of her knowledge of how the brain
works, her respect for the cells composing her human form, and most of all an amazing mother, Taylor completely
repaired her mind and recalibrated her understanding of the world according to the insights gained from her right
brain that morning of December 10th. Today Taylor is convinced that the stroke was the best thing that could have
happened to her. It has taught her that the feeling of nirvana is never more than a mere thought away. By "stepping
to the right of our left brains," we can all uncover the feelings of well-being and peace that are so often sidelined
by our own brain chatter. A fascinating journey into the mechanics of the human mind, "My Stroke of Insight" is both a valuable recovery guide for anyone touched by a brain injury, and an emotionally stirring testimony that deep
internal peace truly is accessible to anyone, at any time.
The site adds that Howard wants Jodie Foster to play Taylor. Brian Grazer will co-produce via Imagine Entertainment,
while Taylor and Ellen Steifler will executive produce.
LOOPER
Variety confirms that Emily Blunt has joined the cast of Rian Johnson's time-travel film, LOOPER.
Blunt, who next appears in Gulliver's Travels and The Adjustment Bureau, will act alongside Bruce Willis (who
starred in the time travel story 12 Monkeys) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who starred in Johnson's first film, Brick).
The early screenplay was described as "really violent and dark" by Johnson during a Brothers Bloom edit bay visit
in 2008 and, according to more recent reports, will deal with a group of hitmen who receive their assignments
from the future. Blunt is said to play a single mother whose son becomes a target.
LOOPER is set to begin production in January in Louisiana.

Here is a quote from J. Michael Straczynski about emotions. I had this theory that the more important and intimate the emotion, the fewer words are required
to express it.
First it's in dating: "Will you go out with me?" Six words.
"Honey, I care for you." Five words.
"You matter to me." Four words.
"I love you." Three words.
"Marry me." Two words.
But what's left? What's the one most important and intimate word you can ever say to somebody?
It's "goodbye."

NEW MOVIE RELEASES
WHAT IF
Kevin Sorbo fans! Here is some news for you.
WHAT IF stars KEVIN SORBO (Hercules, the Legendary Journeys, Gene Roddenberry’s, Andromeda), DEBBY RYAN (Bailey
Pickett on the Disney Channel hit show, The Suite Life on Deck, and the upcoming Disney Channel movie, Sixteen
Wishes), JOHN RATZENBERGER (Cheers. voice in every one of Pixar’s films) and KRISTY SWANSON (Buffy the Vampire
Slayer). WHAT IF is directed and produced by Dallas Jenkins (son of famed Jerry Jenkins, co-author of the Left
Behind series).
FILM OVERVIEW: WHAT IF tells the story of Ben Walker (Kevin Sorbo), fifteen years after leaving his college
sweetheart Wendy (Kristy Swanson) and his calling to be a preacher in order to pursue a business opportunity.
Now with a high-paying executive gig, a trophy fiancé and a new Mercedes, he hasn't even considered a family
nor felt the need to set foot in a church in fifteen years.
While on a thrill ride outside the city, his new car mysteriously breaks down, and he's visited by a tow truck driver
named Mike (John Ratzenberger) who claims to be an angel sent to show Ben what his life would look like had he followed
his true calling. Suddenly Ben wakes up in the middle of domestic chaos as his wife Wendy and daughters (including
Debby Ryan) are getting ready for church, where Ben is the new pastor.
Before he can get back to his old life, Ben must first embrace this reality and discover the value of faith and family,
and perhaps restore his love for those who were heartbroken fifteen years ago: Wendy and God. In the tradition of Its
a Wonderful Life and The Family Man, What If is a story of finding your true purpose in life.

Review:
To tell you the truth, I never liked Kevin Sorbo in Andromeda. There was just something about him I didn't care for.
Perhaps it was an arrogance about the character that just rubbed me the wrong way. That said, I have to say that I
really enjoyed WHAT IF. He was very good in the title role of Ben Walker. He showed great range as an actor and the
entire cast, especially John Ratzenberger as the angel, were awesome. While the plot was familiar, very much like the
classic, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, there were some new twists and turns in WHAT IF that I think you'll enjoy. It was also
nice not having to listen to all the foul language and seeing people getting blown away every three seconds. This was
just a good, down-to-Earth movie that you could sit and watch with anyone, Mom, Dad, kids - anyone. I hope that it
will be available on DVD soon so that many others will have an opportunity to watch it.

Sheldon and practical, grounded Penny hilariously vying for the role of hypotenuse. This complete 2-Disc, 23-Episode
Season 3 Set also features Raj, Howard, tattoos, football, awkward dates, jail time, Stan Lee, a The Lord of the Rings
ring and all the fun of a series that only gets better. The Big Bang Theory “has transformed from a cute comedy about
eggheads and their hottie neighbor into an addictive ensemble piece that could be this decade’s answer to Friends”
(Lynette Rice, Entertainment Weekly).

SMALLVILLE: THE COMPLETE NINTH SEASON
Release date: September 7, 2010
Official website: http://www.smallvilledvd.com
Product Description
After a meteor shower bursts from the heavens, raining destruction on the unsuspecting citizens of Smallville, years pass,
and the healing process leaves the town's inhabitants with scars and secrets. From the ashes of tragedy, a popular yet
awkward teen attempts to decipher the meaning of his life and his clouded past. As he struggles with the transition from
boyhood to adulthood, Clark finds that his strength and strange abilities set him uncomfortably apart from his peers.
Soaring into its ninth season, this modern retelling of the Superman legend and its classic characters continues to blend
realism, action and emotional depth to reveal a new interpretation of the enduring mythology. This season, as Metropolis's
clock tower tolls our characters' darkest hour, we find Clark Kent (series star TOM WELLING) finally making his first
attempts to embrace his calling as a superhero.
Review:
It is amazing to think that this series has been on for 10 years now. It just seems to get better and better and I will be
said to see it end this year. However, season nine may be one of the best for SMALLVILLE. Clark continues to struggle with
his destiny, but he keeps inching closer and closer as he spends more time learning from his father, Jor-el. While Lex Luthor
had been the primary villain in years past, this season finds Major Zod as Clark's adversary. Callum Blue is marvelous as Zod.
The relationship between Clark and Lois really take off and it is fun to watch. The underlying drama of Oliver sinking into
a very dark place. You keep hoping he'll find himself -- and return to the Green Arrow.
Product Description
From J.J. Abrams (Lost), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci – the team behind Star Trek and Alias – and executive producers
Jeff Pinkner, J.H. Wyman and Bryan Burk, Fringe returns for a second thrilling season and continues to explore the
unexplained phenomena and terrifying occurrences linked throughout the world – known simply as "The Pattern“ – in
pursuit of a larger, more shocking truth. Set in Boston, the FBI's Fringe Division formed when Special Agent Olivia
Dunham (Anna Torv) enlisted the help of institutionalized "fringe" scientist Walter Bishop (John Noble) and his son,
Peter (Joshua Jackson), to save her partner and lover from a mind-bending death. Through unconventional and unorthodox
methods, the Fringe team imagines and tests the impossibilities while investigating unbelievable events, macabre crimes
and mystifying cases involving teleportation, reanimation, genetic mutation, precognition, artificial intelligence and
other fantastical theories. When the unimaginable happens, it's their job to stop it.
Review:
This is one show that I have loved from the start. The chemistry among the cast is awesome -- and it has continued through
the second season. Watching the relationships grow (and fall) has been what keeps me coming back each week. What new
creature or disease will they feature this week? Will Olivia and Peter get together? Will Peter learn who he really is?
These are all questions that continue throughout the entire season -- and more are added. If you like a show that makes
you think a little, then FRINGE is for you. You need to pay attention so that you don't miss anything. THis is a smart
drama that has many, many facets. Just when you think you've figured it out -- they throw you a curve ball. Now on DVD,
you can watch some of the more intense episodes -- just to make sure you haven't missed anything. Caution: Don't start
watching the DVD late at night. You won't want to stop watching until you've gone through the whole thing!
BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD SEASON ONE PART ONE
Release date: August 17, 2010
Official website: http://www.t
Synopsis:
Batman wings into an exciting new era, teaming with a mighty honor roll of DC Comics Super Heroes in this action-packed series.
Through the show?s first 13 Animated Adventures in this 2-Disc Collection, the Dark Knight allies with Aquaman, Plastic Man,
Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Deadman, Bronze Tiger and Atom to take on an array of evildoers ranging from
mad scientists to intergalactic crooks, from power-mad dictators to out-of-control teenagers. He even travels to a parallel
world, becoming the villainous Owlman! In this cool, cutting-edge and often funny series bringing back old-school comic-book
styling and dry wit to crimefighting, Batman faces any peril ? including other heroes stealing the show ? in his relentless
pursuit of justice.
Review:
While some may question dividing this season into two parts, you are still getting 13 episodes on 2 DVDs. That is DOUBLE
the normal amount of episodes newer cartoons have been coming out. You are getting your money's worth.
If you like your Batman more like the Adam West version vs. the Dark Knight, you will enjoy this DVD set.
Diedrich Bader is Batman and his voice fits the show's premise. If you are looking for something different, you'll
find it in BATMAN: BOLD AND BRAVE. It features superheroes and villains that have had very few appearances outside
of the comics: Calender Man, Kite Man, the Top, Plastic Man, the Blue Beetle, Kamandi, and Bronze Tiger.
The kids in my family LOVE Batman -- and they are going to enjoy this DVD set. In fact, I think we'll all watch.
THE MIDDLE: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON
Release date: August 31, 2010
Official website:
Synopsis:
Patricia Heaton stars as Frankie Heck in this warm and witty single-camera comedy about raising a family and lowering your
expectations. Frankie Heck is a superhero. Well, no, not an actual superhero - but sometimes it seems to Frankie as though
getting her kids out the door for school every morning is a superheroic act. Middle aged, middle class and living in the
middle of the country, this harried wife and working mother of three uses her wry wit and sense of humor to try to get
her family through each day intact.
Review:
THE MIDDLE is definitely in the same category of such great comedies as EVERYONE LOVES RAYMOND, FRAZIER and SEINFELD.
ABC's THE MIDDLE gives us a look at the American family and you see your family on screen. With the same distribution
of kids in the same ages and genders. THE MIDDLE gives you an honest look at life today, something no regular studio
audience sitcom could convey.
The show depicts how children actually behave and the realities of middle class life without being sarcastic, mean, or
condescending. The cast is perfect and Patricia Heaton shows she can easily lead a series all on her own.
It is rare when you get a show that you can watch through several showings -- and not be bored to tears. With THE MIDDLE,
you see something a little different each time. Now that it is on DVD, you can go back and watch some of your favorite
moments, those you may have missed something because you were laughing too loudly or caught up in the moment the first time through.

With the success of the TWILIGHT series, this series was a natural follow-on. Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and

is superb. Casting has been spot-on, even with the guest stars.

The performances are terrific and show the range of all the actors involved.
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE - SEASON THREE
Release date: July 27, 2010
I-tunes download site: http://bit.ly/WBS_Christine3
Audiences will love Emmy® Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld) as Christine Campbell in the third season
of this hilarious ensemble comedy.
Life gets even more complicated for Christine in season three when she recognizes that her ex-husband, Richard
(Clark Gregg - Ironman), has moved on with his life and his impossible-to-hate new girlfriend, aptly named New
Christine (Emily Rutherford - Van Wilder). While successfully juggling the daily stresses of motherhood and
owning a woman's gym with her best friend, Barb (Wanda Sykes - The Wanda Sykes Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm),
"Old" Christine realizes it may be time to move on with her love life as well. Things get steamy for Christine
as she embraces a romantic relationship with Mr. Harris (recurring guest star Blair Underwood - Dirty Sexy Money,
Something New, L.A. Law), a teacher at her son Ritchie's school. Will Old Christine finally find new love?
Review:
This is one of those series you are either going to love or not! I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus is wonderful as Christine.
She brings a lot of the issues women face as they get older to the surface -- divorce, dating, single parenthood, etc.
You watch Louis-Dreyfus's character go from self-obsessed to concerned parent to passionate lover -- all in the space of
an episode! She's attractive and vivacious but with low self-esteem and self-destructive in her relationships with men.
She's easily discouraged, gets upset over trivial matters, and drinks too much. She's a doting mother but insecure and
frequently feels guilty about her shortcomings as a parent. It is unusual to see a series that takes on issues like
sexuality head-on. Body hair, body odor, sexual positions, condoms, birth control pills and the like become topics of
frequently hilarious discussion among the principals. It is both refreshing and somewhat disconcerting. I guess that is
what makes this series unique as a sitcom.
Synopsis
In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between
the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to
save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to
lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth.
Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, Perseus and his warriors will only survive if Perseus accepts his power as
a god, defies fate and creates his own destiny.
REVIEW
I really didn't know what to expect from this movie. The reviews were mixed and like most remakes, CLASH OF
THE TITANS will always be compared to the one before -- in this case the 1981 version starring Harry Hamlin as
Perseus. This version is a more realistic Bronze age world, but the story hasn`t changed all that much. The
citizens of Argos have become disenchanted with the rule of the Gods. The Gods have caused too much chaos and
ruin to their lives so they've decided to take their destinies into their own hands, and destroy the temples
and statues of the Gods. In doing so, Perseus'(Sam Worthington) family is killed by a falling statue of Zeus.
When Zeus (Liam Neeson) learns of the desecration urged on by Hades (Ralph Fiennes), he decides to destroy the
city in four days or they can offer the sacrifice of the King of Argos' daughter Andromeda (Alexa Davalos). In
a visit to the throne room of Argos, Hades tells Perseus he is a son of Zeus, a demi-god. Being told of his near
divinity, Perseus and a group of soldiers go off on their quest to save the city.
The advances in special effects are very evident in this movie. They are great! The monsters look real and the
characters realistically interact with them. The giant scorpions look deadly, Medusa is creepy, and the Kraken
is HUGE. I sort of had a flashback to STAR WARS as I watched the heroes riding the scorpions with the help of
a tribe of warriors made of stone. The photography is awesome.
The special features are wonderful as well. You follow the crew as they build the ships and sets. This project
became a labor of love for everyone. This is a good adventure movie everyone should enjoy.

ER: THE COMPLETE 13th SEASON
Release date: July 6, 2010
Synopsis:
Shaking things up: Former paramedic, now intern Dr. Tony Gates arrives with a straightforward attitude and a
complicated personal life. Except for his devotion to healing, he’s Gallant’s opposite: brash, cocksure, with
a bad-boy past – and maybe he’s the right prescription for Neela’s broken heart. Really shaking things up:
Contentious Weaver leaves County General for a career move you wouldn’t expect. And the profound dramas of
the outside world continue to make their way to the ER, including a hostile patient whose real condition is a
secret even to himself, homeless children who escape to a magic world of their own making, and a Christmas miracle.
Then again, miracles happen every day at County General.
REVIEW
This series just keeps going and going. This season opens with trama in the ER -- both patients and doctors are
affected. The drama builds as Abby has her baby and Sam is kidnapped by her ex-husband. Each episode of the series
is filled not only with your usual hospital drama, but deep charcterizations that have made this series a favorite
for years. Even if you haven't been following the series for years, you can enjoy the well-written episodes that
involve some very good segments showing surgery and trama medicine, but you'll quickly get caught up in the personal
lives of the staff at County General. This season includes guest appearances from Forrest Whitaker, who received
an emmy nomination for his role as Curtis Ames, a former patient of Dr. Kovac who sues him for malpractice.
DARK BLUE – THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON
Release date: July 6, 2010 exclusively online at WBSHOP.com and TNT.tv
DARK BLUE (from iconic producer Jerry Bruckheimer and starring Golden Globe® winner Dylan McDermott) is the
story of Lt. Carter Shaw (McDermott) and his special undercover task force that tread the line between right
and wrong to bring down a criminal underworld.
Experience each heart-stopping moment again or for the first time with the release of SEASON 1 on DVD before
the start of the all-new DARK BLUE Season 2, August 4 only on TNT.
REVIEW
If you are looking for a good, tight, gritty police drama, look no further than DARK BLUE. From the pilot onward, you get a little information on each of the main characters -- just enough to keep you watching! Dylan McDermott is an awesome actor and he fits the persona outlined for Lt. Carter Shaw. In the pilot, one of the main characters says, he will do anthing to protect you and anything to get the bad guy. It's just hard figuring out which one comes first."
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, you get that feel of realism and you are on the edge of your seat with each episode. There is a good bit of violence, so it may be a bit much for some. But the violence fits the feel of this cable TV show -- dark and hard. I can't wait to see what season two brings.

BABYLON 5 MUSIC VIDEOS AND TRIBUTES
I found this message on the Babylon 5 moderated newsgroup this morning and just
had to post it so that others might enjoy the marvelous music videos created by
John Hudgens.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
As some of you may know, I was hired by Joe Straczynski back in the
day to create Babylon 5 music videos for him to use at science fiction
conventions, and later to promote the show to networks. Eight were
produced over the run of the series, not including the memorial videos
I did later for Rick Biggs and Andreas Katsulas.
For the longest time, the only way to see these was if Joe or I showed
them at a convention, but now, after numerous requests from fans over
the years, Joe has given me permission me to post these online.
- This is the extended version that I did for Andreas' widow ater the
original cut was released on the net. It's never been seen online
until now.
For those of you who've never seen these, I hope you enjoy them - and
for those that have (and emailed me many times over the years about
releasing them), I hope they're as good as you remember. Working with
Joe on these videos was one of the highlights of my career, and I'll
be forever grateful to him for the doors these have opened for me. I'm
proud to have them on my resume.
