Synopsis:
This April, BBC Video brings the world’s most popular car entertainment show to DVD
for the first time in North America with the 3-disc release Top Gear 10. One of

If ever there was a movie made for the BIG screen, it is THE DARK KNIGHT. If you thought
you had seen some fantastic visual effects in BATMAN BEGINS, just wait until you see
what they do in this movie!!!! It is awesome.
I have loved Batman since I was a kid. The thought of a regular guy fighting crime is
very appealing. Unlike Superman, he has no special powers, only his intelligence and wit.
That usually is enough to outsmart or outwit his adversaries. The Joker (masterfully played
by the late Heath Ledger) is a different kind of criminal. He wants to control everything
and everyone.
There are many characters to absolutely love in this series. Gary Oldman is perfect
as Lt. Gordon, but I absolutely adore Michael Caine as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as
Lucas Fox. They steal every scene they are in.
There is no doubt this saga will continue. As long as there are criminals that need
to be brought to justice, there needs to be a Batman somewhere out there to help the
police force.

I have caught this show off and on as it airs on BBC America. I like it very much.
The characters are interesting - the plot is unusual. I was SO happy to get the DVD
because it gave me a chance to see the show from the beginning - which helps provide
a little more of the back story - but it isn't necessary to understand why Dr. Cutter
and his team are exploring anomalies in space and time. The creatures they encounter
are awesome - and you at times wonder, how they did that! The only problem I've had
so far is having to listen pretty hard to the English accent! This DVD set is
definitely worth watching.

For those of you who love photography -- or just looking at good pictures -- you are going
to LOVE this DVD. Annie Leibovitz is just amazing. This portrait of her work shows just
how terrific she is and what a life she has led looking through the lens of a camera. Seeing
photographs of John Lennon and Yoko Ono just before he was killed is just amazing. Being
able to follow her career and her growth as a photographer and person is just as amazing.

I liked Season Two much better than Season One. The episodes were more tightly written
and easier to follow. In Season One, we were introduced to the characters and the villans
and places. In Season Two, now that we know the characters, each episode could explore the
characters more and their interactions with each other. If you are a fan of DOCTOR WHO,
this spin-off series is sure to delight you. In addition, Freema Agyeman reprises her role
of Martha Jones in a 3-story arc. She was terrific in DOCTOR WHO -- she's wonderful in
TORCHWOOD.

PUSHING DAISIES is an unusual romantic comedy that was shortened to only nine episodes
in the first season because of the writer's strike. Everyone who enjoys the show hopes
season two will bring the regular 22 episodes for everyone to enjoy.
The show has perfect casting, directing, production and writing. PUSHING DAISIES is
fresh, original, heart breaking and funny.

REVIEW
With two less episodes due to the writer's strike, this season seemed less focused than
the others. Not to say it was not good, but the writers seemed to be coming up with
new story lines and ways to have some of the principal actors exist at the end of the
season. Michael Rosenbaum has consistently been fantastic as Lex Luthor. He will be
sorely missed in season eight, but the void will be filled by new characters. Tom Welling
as Clark Kent has grown considerably as an actor. Having come to the role as a model, he
has shown glimpses of real acting talent and I hope he continues to stretch himself during
the coming season.
This season brought back James Marsters as Brainiac and he's as good as ever. He has made
the character his own and the episodes featuring him are favorites.
If you had to pick some favorite episodes from season 7, there are many. "Descent" may
be the best as Lex and his father, Lionel, face off with tragic results. The final scene
with Lex and Clark standing by Lionel's coffin is a powerful moment not to be missed by
any SMALLVILLE fan.

REVIEW
I hadn't watched this series when it first came on the tube. I was never a fan of the
original movies, but when I began watching TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, I got
hooked. It is an interesting and exciting drama that reminds me a lot of some very old
TV series -- like THE IMMORTAL. In this case however, the baddies are almost invincible
robots.
Lena Headey is wonderful as Sarah Connor and Summer Glau is terrific as their
protector. If you have an afternoon when it's raining and not much on TV (and that happen
more and more lately), pick up this series and give it a try. Season Two begins shortly
and you'll be able to catch up very quickly.

REVIEW:
I remember this series when it was on TNT and thought it was absolutely awesome. The
special effects for a TV drama were just astounding. Yancy Butler was unbelievable as
Sarah Pezzini - in the title role. She was perfect to play this very conflicted person
who saw so much injustice around her and was trying to make a difference not only be
being a policeman -- but by being a good policeman.
This was one of the most under-rated TV series of its day. The cast was wonderful and
you couldn't wait for the next week to see what would happen next as Sarah learned more
about the Witchblade and why she was chosen to wear it.

REVIEW
To me, this is the BEST BATMAN movie to date. While I loved Michael Keaton as BATMAN, Christian
Bale gives a more somber look to the caped crusader. Michael Caine is just wonderful as Alfred
as are Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman.
While the story of BATMAN has been shown in many ways, Christopher Nolan does a wonderful
job of adding tone and emotion through lighting and shadows. Liam Neeson as Bruce Wayne's
early mentor is awesome and the final climax -- just the right touch of myth and wonder.
You leave the theater (or in this case your living room) with anticipation about the next
adventure in this saga. While you have seen BATMAN before, it hasn't been THIS BATMAN.
Let's not miss the toys! How about the Batmobile!!!! Can't you see that tooling down the
highway??? I wonder how many miles to a gallon it gets???
Timing for this DVD release was brilliant. For those who did not catch this film when it
first came out, there was time to catch up before going to THE DARK KNIGHT (released on July 18).
For those who went to see THE DARK KNIGHT, this DVD was on the shelve waiting to give the back
story and bring you up to date. I can't wait to see what is in the future for this one.

REVIEW:
This show is addictive! You start watching it and begin to get into the personalities
of all the characters. Kyra Sedgwick is wonderful in the role of Deputy Police Chief
Brenda Leigh Johnson. She downplays her role marvelously -- often leaving you with the
same feeling as the other folks in the room -- how did she do that?.
This is a brilliantly produced series, with rich characters and marvelous acting.
The stories are diverse and cover a lot of very deep subjects. The plot lines are
clever and fresh. If you enjoy police dramas, THE CLOSER is for you.
This is one of those programs that should be more visible at Emmy time!

This was an amazing DVD. If you are a fan of BATMAN, you will enjoy this DVD. For me, I nearly
forgot that it was an animated adventure. The story lines were rich in plot and the voice actors
were wonderful. Kevin Conroy has always been a terrific BATMAN -- with a deep, resonant voice
that seems to fit the images you see very well.
This collection of tales takes place between "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" which starts
with "Have I Got a Story for You" in which some urban gothamn kids tell their own version of
how they saw Batman, "Crossfire" deals with the caped crusader saving the lives of a couple of
detectives dropping off a patient to Arkaham Island where he fights off a Russian mob. "Field
Test" has Lucius Fox and Bruce Wayne working on the latest invention for Batman as he fights
against a gang of criminals on a boat near Gotham Harbor, "In Darkness Dwells" has our hero
pitting himself against Killer Croc and The Scarecrows in the sewers. "Working Through Pain"
has Batman wounded as he remembers his past in Asia where he is trained on how to live with
pain from a East Indian woman and finally "Deadshot" has a top assassin who is willing to
kill for a prophet until the Dark Knight stops him.
I would encourage parents to watch this DVD first -- before showing it to your smaller children.
There is a degree of violence as BATMAN fights against the bad guys and you may not want to introduce
this to your children. For older children, they will recognize the characters and understand more
of what is going on -- and you as parents can talk to them about how right can triumph over evil
but it isn't always easy. here's pretty strong language at first and the violence is a huge step
up from Batman - The Animated Series. GOTHAM KNIGHT is quite different from this animated series,
so don't expect the playful like humor seen in BTAS seasons 1-3. This version of Batman is something
to take serious.

own. Angus McMurrow is a troubled young lad, his father has gone off to war and he
and his mother and sister are left to manage their farm. Their world is invaded by
British soldiers coming to protect England from the Germans, presenting new challenges
for young Angus. He finds the water horse egg and when it hatches, he helps the creature
grow by feeding it scraps and keeping it in the bath tub. This story may bring back
memories of ET for some.

moves from a small town in order to be close to his institutionalized deaf and
mentally impaired friend Antonapoulos (Chuck McCann). Singer rents a room with a
family whose father, Mr. Kelly (Biff McGuire), is unable to earn a living due to
a serious injury. His teen-aged daughter Mick (Sondra Locke, in her film debut)
is at first resentful of Singer's presence, but he ingratiates himself by introducing
her to classical music (which he can "feel," if not hear). Singer likewise tries to
brighten the lives of such unfortunates as alcoholic Blount (Stacy Keach Jr., also
making his first film appearance), dying black doctor Copeland (Percy Rodriguez),
and Copeland's poverty-stricken daughter (Cicely Tyson).
SMART MONEY (1931):Edward G. Robinson and James Cagney were teamed for the only time
in their careers in Smart Money. Robinson has the larger part as a small-town barber
who fancies himself a big-time gambler. He travels to the Big City in the company of
his younger brother Cagney, who wants to make sure that Robinson isn't fleeced by
the high-rollers. Unfortunately Robinson has a weakness for beautiful blondes, most
of whom take him for all his money or betray him in some other manner. The cops aren't
keen on Robinson's gambling activities, but they can pin nothing on him until he
accidentally kills Cagney in a fight. The incident results in a jail term for manslaughter,
and a more sober-sided outlook on life for the formerly flamboyant Robinson. Watch
closely in the first reel of Smart Money for an unbilled appearance by Boris Karloffas
a dope pusher.
BLACK LEGION (1937): Factory worker Frank Taylor believes that he has missed out on
a deserved promotion when it is instead given to a Polish immigrant. Angry and looking
for a scapegoat, he is an ideal mark for the Black Legion, an underground group who
want to get rid of immigrants and racial minorities through violent means. Frank joins
the Legion, and with his new friends, he dons black robes and drives the Polish family
from their home. His aim achieved, Frank gets his job, but soon the Legion begins to
take up more of his time and money, and turns his character darker and darker. He
leaves his wife, begins to drink heavily, and soon is on a downward spiral.
MAYOR OF HELL (1933): Five members of a teen-age gang, including leader Jimmy Smith,
are sent to the State Reformatory, presided over by the melodramatically callous Thompson.
Soon, Patsy Gargan, a former gangster appointed Deputy Commissioner as a political
favor, arrives complete with hip flask and blonde. Gargan falls for activist nurse
Dorothy and, inspired by her, takes over the administration to run the place on
radical principles.

MY REVIEW
It's Easter and here is a wonderful movie to watch with your kids. All of us have had
Charlie Brown in our past -- whether through the movies or the comics in the newspaper.
Charlies Brown's Christmas tree is still one of my favorites and adding this movie to
my collection will give the kids (and grown ups) in my family a new classic to watch
each year.
The extras on the disk include IT'S ARBOR DAY, CHARLIE BROWN. It gives you some background
on the holiday and you may just learn a little something you didn't know about it. Baseball
fans may enjoy this one more than the Easter Beagle!

THE INVADERS

As I was wondering about looking for news this morning, I spotted a link for the upcoming
release of the first season of THE INVADERS. It can be pre-ordered from Amazon.com so that
it will arrive near the release date. It was the perfect mix of "Invasion of the Body
Snatchers" and "The Fugitive". Created by the brilliant Quinn Martin, who produced other
outstanding series like The Untouchables and the Streets of San Francisco, there are few
that rival THE INVADERS for their imagination and production values. Though this series
premiered in 1967, it still ranks as #6 on thee TV Guide List of Twenty-Five Greatest
Sci-Fi Legends. Roy Thinnes is marvelous as architect David Vincent. As the opening
narrative states: "Now, David Vincent knows that the Invaders are here; that they have
taken human form. Somehow, he must convince a disbelieving world, that the nightmare
has already begun..."
With the weak attempts being made at science fiction these days, it might be good for
folks to look at some of the old favorites, like THE INVADERS, to see that good TV
series are possible.

If you enjoy dance and true artistry, you will love this DVD. The music is awesome, but
the dance is amazing. The precision dance performed by the Riverdance company is just
astoundingly beautiful. One can only think of how many hours of practice it has taken
to bring this marvel of dance to theaters -- and now to DVD for everyone to enjoy.
Jean Butler and Colin Dunne ar the principal dancers with Maria Pages, Katie McMahon and
Morgan Crowley also starring in this feature. I am at a loss for words to adequately
describe the marvel of Riverdance.

McGinnis, an ordinary teenager whose father is mysteriously murdered. Suspecting foul play at his father's company Wayne/Powers
Corporation, Terry meets Bruce Wayne and learns of his secret identity. Wayne is now too old to fight injustice, so Terry steals the
Batsuit in search of his father's assassin. Season 1 of this futuristic Batman series features the new partnerships between the

Warner Home Video has announced five Superman-related DVD collections for release on June 20, just prior
to the theatrical debut of SUPERMAN RETURNS. Following is a rundown:
* Lois & Clark: The Complete Third Season is a six-disc set that will cost $59.98.
* Superman: The Animated Series Vol. 3 is a two-disc set that will cost $26.90.
* The Adventures of Superboy: The Complete First Season is a four-disc set that will cost $39.98.
* The Adventures of Superman: The Complete Third and Fourth Seasons will be a five-disc set that will cost $39.98.
* Justice League: Season 2 will be a four-disc set that will cost $44.98.
I am a fan of this entire series. Dean Cain and Terry Hatcher are great as Clark and Lois in this
iteration of the old classic. The animated series is wonderful. I just finished watching Volume 2
and I enjoyed it very much. The stories are very good and great for children to watch -- with their
parents. There is some violence as Superman tries to thwart the baddies, but he does prevail. The
same holds true of the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. I loved this show as a kid and can't wait to see the
Third and Fourth Season. Season Two was wonderful and brought back some great memories. (I actually
met George Reeves at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh a lot of years ago. It was a time when I had a lot
of heroes -- Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger and Superman. Can't get much better than that!)
The Justice League series has been superb. The writing is good and the animation is very good. They
have taken the Saturday-moring cartoon a lot further and given us grown-ups something to watch as well.
THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON
The Adventures of Superman, the Complete Second Season
(Warner Home Video, $39.99)
Before actors Dean Cain and Tom Welling assumed the television role of the Man of Steel, George Reeves
delighted 1950s viewers with his interpretation of DC Comics' unstoppable superhero. The 1953 second
season of the series arrives on DVD in a five-disc set and delivers all 26 black-and-white episodes,
which will make younger viewers scratch their heads at the lame effects and corny plots but allow
older fans to take a nostalgia trip into wholesome family entertainment.
The season marked the return of actress Noel Neill as Lois Lane (having previously played her in the
1948 serial and a 1950 film) and plots including Superman battling kryptonite and Earth-destroying
meteors and helping a little girl regain her sight. Slick menus mixing comic book page panels and
footage from the show lead not only to the individual episodes but extras such as a segment on Noel
Neill as Lois, a 12-minute Superman show from 1954 used to promote the U.S. Treasury Department's
Saving Stamp program and optional commentary tracks on two episodes by Noel Neill and Jack Larson
(Jimmy Olsen).

THE PRETENDER - SEASON THREE
Fox Home Entertainment will release THE PRETENDER Season Three on February 14, 2006. This will be a four-disc DVD set
featuring all 24 episodes, including select episode commentary by writers Craig W. Van Sickle and Steven Long Mitchell, and
a three-part “Making Of” featurette. In case you missed this show, Jarod is a Pretender - a genius whose exceptionally high I.Q.
allows him to master virtually any profession. Still on the run from his ex-captors, Jarod continues to help innocent victims even
as he digs deeper into his own background and the secret inner workings of the Centre. At the same time, he also uncovers

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
Warner Home Video has announced that HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE will debut on DVD March 7. Director Mike
Newell (Mona Lisa Smile) and screenwriter Steve Kloves take audiences on a journey from the Quidditch World Cup to Hogwarts
and into the thrilling competition of the Triwizard Tournament.
Based on J.K. Rowling's award-winning fourth novel, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE takes Harry and his friends on

THE FLASH
One of my favorite superheros is finally coming to DVD. THE FLASH will be released by Warner Bros. on January 10.

SERENITY
After 38 days in release, SERENITY has grossed just over $25 million domestically and it'll make its transition onto DVD on
December 20, a theater-to-home window of well under three months, an extra fast turnaround. Now you know what to get as

The film reunites the stars of "Firefly" -- including Nate Fillion, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher and Alan Tudyk -- in
another adventure that combines outer space fantasy with Western action. Although writer-director Whedon was able to
complete his first feature with a relatively modest budget (somewhere in the $40 million range), the box office for "Serenity"
fell short of what most observers thought would be required to greenlight a theatrical sequel.
The DVD contains deleted scenes, outtakes, a special introduction and commentary from Whedon and several other
documentaries and features.

BATMAN BEGINS
Warner Home Video has announced that BATMAN BEGINS will be released on DVD on October 18th. The film will be available
in two versions: a single-disc edition that contains the movie only and a two-disc edition that includes a 72-page comic book
and several hours of DVD extras. The two disc set will contain "documentaries on the genesis of the Dark Knight, the reinvention
of the Batmobile and the development of miniatures, CGI and effects for the Monorail Chase scene; a study of Christian Bale's

Ranger Dave writes that the SciFi series SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND is due for release on October 4th. Bestbuy.com is

The television series "Space: Above and Beyond", created and produced by Glen Morgan and James Wong, chronicled the
interplanetary adventures of a Marine squadron battling hostile aliens in the years 2063-2064. Part (anti-)war drama, part
science fiction, it examined such themes as courage, loyalty and faith. Through the eyes of the Wild Cards, it explored what we,
as humans, live for... and what we would be willing to die for.
"Space" aired on Fox-TV in 1995 and 1996, but - despite critical praise, decent ratings, viewer support, and four Emmy Award
nominations - was cancelled.
EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH
November 1st has been set as the release date for EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH. The explosive and emotional finale to the
saga, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, arrives on DVD and "Star Wars Battlefront II," the sequel to the most successful
"Star Wars" game ever, arrives on Xbox, Playstation 2, Windows PC and Sony PSP formats.
Lucasfilm and Fox Home Entertainment present a two-disc set for the "Revenge of the Sith" DVD, with uncompromising picture and
sound mastered directly from the original digital source material. The DVD will include a brand-new full-length documentary produced
by Lucasfilm Ltd. as well as two new featurettes -- one that explores the prophecy of Anakin Skywalker as the Chosen One, and the
other that looks at the movie's amazing stunts. A 15-part collection of Lucasfilm's groundbreaking web documentary series, Making
Episode III, will also be included in the set. A two-level playable demo of Star Wars Battlefront II is also included on the DVD.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Home Video will release a series of two-disc special editions of the four original
BATMAN movies from the late 1980s and '90s. BATMAN, BATMAN RETURNS, BATMAN FOREVER and BATMAN & ROBIN will
be released October 18. They will be available individually and as a gift set, "Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997."
Each special-edition DVD features a new digital transfer of the movie. Bonus features include director commentaries by Joel

Warner Home Video has announced an Oct. 18 release date for THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN: The Complete First Season,
a five-disc set featuring the television series from the 1950s that starred George Reeve as Superman. Here is how Warner
describes the collection:
"It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman! The legendary Man of Steel, last survivor of the doomed planet Krypton lives on earth,
assuming the secret identity of Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities
far beyond those of mortal men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman. This is the first Superman TV series! Originally
aired in the 1950's, it featured George Reeves as Superman and enjoyed tremendous success during its broadcast. The TV
series premise was established a year before its broadcast via the theatrical release of Superman and The Mole Men in 1951."

Universal has announced a single disc re-release of the classic Steven Spielberg film E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial for the 23rd of August,

audio, an exclusive audio track of John Williams' magical score, 'The Reunion: E.T.'s Family and Friends' featurette, a 'Behind-the-Scenes

GLADIATOR
According to the Hollywood Reporter, DreamWorks is readying an extras-packed "expanded" edition DVD of GLADIATOR which
will include 17 minutes of additional footage as well as commentary from Russell Crowe. The new DVD will include "such special
features as Scott's storyboard sketches, a feature-length documentary on how the filmmakers had to digitally salvage Oliver Reed's
final performance as Proximo after the actor died during filming, and interviews with filmmakers detailing the story's historical
origins and its transition from script to screen." This three-disc set will be released on August 23 with a retail price of $25.

CONSTANTINE:
Warner Home Video has announced a July 19 release for Constantine on DVD. The film, starring Keanu Reeves in an
adaptation of DC Comics' Hellblazer, has made $74.1 million domestically at the box office.
The Deluxe Edition includes audio commentaries (director Francis Lawrence, producer Akiva Goldsman and screenwriters Kevin
Brodbin and Frank Capello), 18 minutes of deleted scenes (including an alternate ending) with optional commentary by director
Francis Lawrence, "The Production From Hell," "Imagining the Underworld" (includes a 'Demon Face' Easter Egg), "Foresight: The
Power of Pre-Visualization" and "Conjuring Constantine" featurettes, A Perfect Circle's "Passive" music video, theatrical trailers,
DVD-ROM content and a collectible Hellblazer comic.
Warner describes the film in this way: :
"Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo Hellblazer graphic novels and written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, Constantine tells

Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release a "Jaws 30th Anniversary Edition," two-DVD set loaded
with extras, including a two-hour documentary about the movie, on June 14th. Additional bonus material
will include deleted scenes and outtakes as well as production photos, and story boards. They are also
including "a rarely seen interview with Spielberg on the set of the film." The DVD will retail for about $23.
STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE:
Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete First Season will be released on May 3. You will find a sticker on the
packaging promoting the show's 2-hour finale on 5/13 on UPN.
Paramount has confirmed the DVD release of Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete Second Season on 7/26 (two
weeks later than the previously announced 7/14 date). The 7-disc set will include all 26 second season episodes
in anamorphic widescreen video with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. There's no word yet on extras other than that the set
will include 5 behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Once, he was known as the aviary superhero called simply Birdman (during the 1967 Hanna-Barbera series,

before him, and many others following him, did. Eventually, Birdman fell on hard times, and the hero route went
by the wayside. He soon shot a pilot for a talk show (which eventually became Space Ghost Coast To Coast) but

CASINO ROYALE, starring Daniel Craig as James Bond is available today on DVD. The
bonus features generally celebrate Bond as an iconic figure with only one extra,
"James Bond: For Real," geared towards behind-the-scenes action on the film itself.
It examines the use of parkour (with co-founder Sebastien Foucan), the down and
dirty fight scenes, various explosions and the record-setting seven times that
Bond's car rolls before it's totaled. In contrast, "Becoming Bond" is almost a
solemn affair that demonstrates just how serious casting a new Bond could be. The
featurette follows the entire process: from the numerous actors being considered
and the big announcement to the subsequent media frenzy and criticism. Apparently,
having a blond Bond that was a relative nobody rubbed people the wrong way. The
remainder of the featurette also analyzed how this new (old) Bond revitalized what
had become formulaic, such as his romantic approach and his relationship with M.

for a Civil War-era coat, a missing circus elephant, and a barber who reforms his childhood friend, now a
gangster, are all very sweet, and quite enjoyable), and one of the last episodes filmed, "The Perils of
Superman", directed by George Reeves, himself, is a bonafide 'classic', with unsettling images of helmeted
criminals walking the streets of Metropolis, and Clark, Lois, Jimmy, and Perry, each subjected to silent
movie cliffhanger demises. Best of all, these last episodes prove that Reeves, though far heavier and
grayer by the series' end, never lost the sincerity or humor he had displayed in earlier seasons. Also
included in the collection is a made-for-dvd celebration of Jack Larson, offering recent interviews with
everyone's favorite 'Jimmy Olsen', Noel Neill, and a variety of the series' historians. The final two
seasons of the Adventures of Superman are timeless fun for all who admired the talents of George Reeves
and the rest of the cast. Thanks to these DVDs, everyone will be able to look back at his portrayal of
Superman that captured the imagination of millions.
HBO's TALES FROM THE CRYPT has established itself as one of the greatest horror/thriller anthology of
it's era. The 13 tales featured in this season don't have the big name horror directors of seasons past,
but there are a lot of very recognizable names featured in the episodes. Ed Begley Jr. plays a con man
who gets way, way more than he bargained for in "Death of Some Salesman"; which also features the great
Tim Curry in multiple roles and was directed by Gilbert Adler who would go on to do the much maligned
Bordello of Blood. "Forever Ambergris" features The Who's Roger Daltrey and Steve Buscemi as rival war
photographers, who naturally get a taste of war and hell unlike either could ever imagine. "House of
Horror" features Kevin Dillon as a frat leader breaking in new pledges (including Will Wheaton), Ernie
Hudson stars as a gluttonous, evil man in "Food For Thought", "Creep Course" features Jeffrey Jones as
a history teacher with a diabolical scam who gets the tables turned on him, and "Half-Way Horrible" is
a season favorite featuring Clancy Brown as an unscrupolous businessman that finds his way into voodoo.
This fifth season edition has plenty of blood, guts, laughs, and thrills. Don't forget to visit

More SUPERMAN is on the way. Warner Home Video has announced two more collections of SUPERMAN television series on DVD:
Lois & Clark: The Complete Second Season and The Adventures of Superman: The Complete Second Season. Both DVD collections
will be available on Jan. 17. The LOIS & CLARK set will be six discs and will cost $59.98. It will be sold separately and in a package
with the first-season collection. The ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN set will be five discs and will cost $39.98. It also will be sold
separately and in a package with the first-season collection. 
BATMAN BEGINS will have plenty of Bat-company when it reaches stores on Oct. 18. In addition to the animated THE BATMAN VS.
DRACULA, Warner Bros. Home Video has announced Special Editions of BATMAN, BATMAN RETURNS, BATMAN FOREVER and
BATMAN AND ROBIN to be released on that day. Warner is also releasing BATMAN THE MOTION PICTURE ANTHOLOGY 1989-1997,
a collection of the Special Editions of the four films.
